Someone said Serif don't do trials. They do starter editions. The FREE starter edition does ALL of this and more. You can overlay video tracks and edit the sound independently in a couple of sound tracks. Hoped to see what else this did. Guess I'll look elsewhere.

please help i import fraps clips and it only lets me put the audio in the timeline and there is a speaker instead of where it shows the little vide in the media box

@mockox22 Another YouTube reviewer described this as "Sony Vegas lite" -- not as full-featured as Sony Vegas, but similar, and a lot cheaper (according to him). Unfortunately, Serif doesn't do free trial downloads, but a full copy of X3 (the older version, now that X5 is out) is only $14.77 from Amazon.com. I have a trial version of Corel VideoStudio on my computer, but am having terrible trouble accessing their tech support & forums - so I might buy Serif's product from Amazon instead.

How many different formats on import are supported? Does it support mpg, avi, vob, m2t, mkv and so forth? I hate when you can't import certain types, rendering the program useless to me.

it says do you want to allow this software to make changes to your computer and i press yes and nothing happends no installing status appears or anything ?

I've used Affter Effects CS4, Sony Vegas 9 and a good few others. Serif Movie Plus, just seems to nail everything perfectly. Possibly the best editing software I've used.

@coldplay3131 Not sure what you mean by flip video movies but it is compatible with mp4's. By iTunes songs I'm guessing you mean mp3's, which will work also.

Hi,...I've just finished watching you'r short tutorial.I enjoyed the way you handled the presentation.I bought the Serif Movieplus X3 some time ago,and recently got round to actually "having a go". It really is quite addictive.I've ran off a couple of DVD'S of my efforts,but one thing really "stumps" my progress.

When I add text,(static or scroll ),I can't get it to appear anywhere on my finished DVD. It is as if the Menu Designer does'nt recognise that it is there. I normally use Story board ?
