abhitron, my english is not so good: it is worse when the top of the disc is damaged, apparently because then the laser through it. and then the disc can not be read
@abhitron lmao, and who told you that?? don't you realize that this "read side" you're speaking of is just plastic?? the actual data is stored on the underside of the image on the top of the disc. It's MUCH better to put the disc "read side" down and get a couple scratches you can buff out, than to put it "data side" down. You ding that image at all, and your disc will NEVER work again. If you ding the plastic, you can still buff it out (worst case scenario).
@theskylifesounds Really? I never knew that the data was situated that close to the top surface. I guess this adds even more to the delicate nature of optical discs. Nevertheless, it's still a pain to get scratches on the read side.
hey lazyguy007, any updates on your problem? A lot of us here would like to hear if that vdigi wii VGA cable eventually worked for ya. get back to us man... thanks.
That happends to me but muuuuuch different than that...my Wii shuts down by itself completly off and i have to put it back on,i hate that so much >:-O
Where do you live and what is your wii? Is it a pall version? I heard the vdigi cable had some troubles with the pall version of the wii. Something with not supporting the voltage was to low or high.
I bought one. I should receive it this week. I'll post what will happen to my wii!
That's really weird. Do you have the Wii plugged into the wall or a powerstrip? It looks like it's taking more power than the Wii or your powerstrip can handle.
That, or it could be defective. I've never seen that happen before.
If the Wii's plugged into a powerstrip, try plugging it into a wall outlet, then do it again.
What an idiot. It was the disk. Not the cable.

Try changing the output to the regular non-component output, and it may fix your problem when using the regular (non VGA) cable.
IMHO I think the problem is with your Wii, not the cable... :/
I played No More Heroes just fine with my friend's Wii and vdigi VGA cable...

Hey dude, don't ever put your discs with the read side (the side that the laser reads) down. Better to get dust on it rather than scratches.
