Works great, it's on my computer and iPhone and on my wife's computer and iPad. We can add to a grocery list from any of those entry points and when we are at the store it is all on my iPhone. I also use Evernote but for bigger things like saving docs, pdfs, pix, etc
why do all cloud based app use the same style in advertising their products? look at spring pad, google, jolicloud, evernote and now simplenote..

Now if only it would generate .txt files on to a folder within my directory of folders, then I would actually consider using it.

@IcyNami Elements, which is a Dropbox-powered app, does create .txt files in your Dropbox folder. That might be more what you're looking for.
However, Simplenote is exactly what I need. I use text notes all the time. Evernote is way too slow for that.

@IcyNami Download a program called ResophNotes. It syncs with Simplenote and backs all notes as txt files to a folder of your choice.

Simplenote is smaller and faster. It specializes in text notes. Many people install both, especially since Simplenote is now a free download.
