@vonroden I think so. He also did for Message In A Bottle you see it in the vid. In the vid for this he's actually playing what looks like a stratocaster lol
plz fuck off asshole. do I have to say everything correctly okay ''BASS GUITAR'' happy now fucktard? shouldnt we then say acoustic and electric guitar. not ''guitar''
Man good cover! I love the fretless, what kind is it? I just made a cover and the thought of doing it fretless crossed my mind but I ended up using my normal bass. Good freakin job, now to watch more of your other videos. :D
Thanks !! the bass is a Cort BF4l , I got it to start learning fretless playing, I´m very happy with it, sounds great for its price. I´ll put some chorus on it next time to get a nicer sound.
Many thanks, patience and step by step learning process and a daily routine will make you a better bass player. Learning from great bass lines as this Police one is also a good help. My advice is not to be in a hurry, remind that is very important "learning to walk before run".
I don't mean to bother, but what is better for a beginner, a pick or finger strumming/picking. Is it normal to be touching other strings, being a beginner or am I doing something wrong? I have a hard time getting clear notes... Many thanks, I often watch this to influence my technique.
My God, watching this is discouraging. I know it's a simple bass line but you cover it awesomely. I'm a beginner so of course I want to jump right in, patience I guess. Beautiful playing....
Well, it´s nearly the same as a fretted one, but... it´s harder to play, entonation is the more difficult thing to achieve. You may like to look for some Jaco Pastorius, Steve Bailey or Tony Franklin videos for a really good fretless bass playing.
I like the subtle little fills you add to it lol

Personally... I use finger picking to get a low, growly tone. I use pick for controlled, moderate notes. Like....
i.e. Pick for 5---5---5---5
I would use fingers for faster songs or for low songs like any KoRn songs or Mudvayne stuff. I.e. 0--1--0--3-1-0-0-1-2 or anythingn like that.
