Basically no matter what, people are going to vote expertvillage videos down. But he's playing the right beat despite bad audio quality and snare tuning. If you expect him to sound as good as Bonham, you're expecting the wrong things. Plus, it is better that it sounds so stripped down...the reason we're watching this video is because as-is on the record, it is pretty hard to learn by ear. So take a second and actually pay attention rather than auto thumbs down.

I drum for 7 months now and I can tell this guy isn't that good. Not becouse he plays simple beats. But becouse his groove, tuning, and even the way he holds his sticks are just plain wrong.

@Maxarcc the inflection that he is putting on that rhythm is wrong which in turn is throwing off his groove. In other words the rhythm he articulated was not the half-time shuffle with ghost notes; it was force-ably subdivided which is not what that rhythm is supposed to be. Don't worry too much about how he holds the sticks; its a strict match grip that doesn't change when he moves to cymbals. But what kind of experienced drummer does not piece together a less fabricated cymbal set.?
