look into the research of Dr. Jagadishchandra Bose. He proved that plants are in fact sentient. You should also look into fungi. They are actually even more sentient and complex than humans.
@SkallywagMr Exactly. Which is why eating lettuce and celery is possibly more cruel and violent than slitting the throat of an animal and eating it's flesh!!! ;)
Just about everything has some sort of sentient value. You can eat plants and kill plants and not animals, or you can eat nothing and eventually die. I'm a rather rational person, so I choose to just eat plants. :)
@RealRawResults Just because as an animal you can relate to the pain of a slit throat doesnt mean that theres no pain on the part of the plant. You are not only being unreasonable but actually extremely subjective.
@RealRawResults im not coming from a place of judgment. i respect you and i think you have good intentions. but there is a way to live without eating plants. you can eat fruit become fruitarian we have a symbiotic relationship with trees and trees grow fruit for us to eat in return for us to spread their seed because there not mobile. Anne Osborne has a great book Fruitarianism the path to paradise which u might know since i think you went to the WS fruit festival.
@whatwehaveknown Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I also respect people's decision to eat a strictly fruitarian diet, but at the present moment, with the information and experience I have available to me, I believe that young tender veggies have an important place in the human diet. Fruit is number 1 and I believe that for the reasons you mentioned as well, but I believe in the long-run greens are a must. I'm open to learn more though, and Anne is a wonderful lady! :)
Chris, your next video should be an expose on how poor the conditions are in a factory fruit farm. It's pretty horrendous! You'll never eat fruit again when you see how horrible the fruit is brutalized ;)
Did you know that it has also been scientifically proven by research done at california institute of technology's evolutionary biology department that if humans did not ever eat meat, we would not be as developed as we are today. Humans are omnivores, we are built to eat meat and plants, suddenly trying to change and influence everybody to become herbivores would disturb the balance of the food chain. Nature is not wrong. Don't try to make it seem that behaving naturally is "evil".
@shizzzbiscuit Haha on the flipside of that there have been even more scientific and anthropology studies that have shown that humans evolved primarily on fruit. We did eat meat in the past, yes, but we also had severe ringworm and other parasites in our stomachs until the time we got here. Sounds like fun eh? It's a matter of surviving vs. thriving. You can survive eating raw tubers and raw meat, but I prefer to abide by the laws of nature and thrive eating my species specific FRUGIVOROUS diet!
@RealRawResults Another fact is that people who eat meat don't force their diet on others. Big surprise that somebody like you would attack people who eat meat because your diet is "better". Eat your fruit only diet, i'm sure it's good for you, but don't be a dick about it.
@shizzzbiscuit Every single choice that people make directly effects everyone in the world. When people's decision to eat meat and animal products directly causes the destruction of their health, the planet's health, the death and torture of animals, and then I have to pay for the diabetes medication with my taxes,I have a problem with that. Ignorance is one thing (I was there too)but the education is out there and ignorance is no longer a valid excuse.Time to raise your standards and step up! :D
@shizzzbiscuit I'm sure I stepped on a few bugs today and the internet satellite sending you this right now probably caused a few animals to die. Better than than intentionally and directly causing the death of thousands of animals per year just so their pieces and excretions and rot inside our colons!
@RealRawResults Back to my original point, is it okay for somebody like you to attack people who don't live your lifestyle? Using sarcasm and acting superior is just you being a douchebag. People choose to live the way they want to, you eat plants, good for you, i love fruits and vegetables. But i also eat meat, because i love beef and fish, but apparently i'm worthy of being attacked by people who don't? That's just acting indignant for the sake of feeling superior, which is stupid.
@shizzzbiscuit When people choose to destroy the planet and other animals "because it taste good" and then get sick and I have to pay for their cholesterol and diabetes meds through my taxes, then it's directly my problem and I'm not okay with that. If one was truly comfortable and content and feeling as though there are no contradictions between their actions and their beliefs, they wouldn't feel offended by someone pointing out their bad habits. ;)
Chris, I think that you, personally, are a vegan because anatomically you are best suited for consuming plants and vegetation. Notice your rabbit-like pair of front teeth. I postulate that they have been specifically crafted to ease the consumption of lettuce, carrots and the likes. It is fairly obvious that you are a descendant of a prehistoric offshoot of Leporidae Sapiens, and you are merely the next link on the evolutionary chain. Your species may or may not dominate the Earth some day.
You made me laugh. As well as everything else fab about you, I love your compassion towards animals and how it prompted you to make this awesome video.
@Volkov73 I definitely respect people's choice to be 100% fruitarian, this was aimed more at people who say plant murder justifies murdering animals. I don't think that the human diet was intended to be 100% fruit, I think fruit with the addition of young tender vegetables is ideal. Between 2-5% of total calories from greens, on average.
@RealRawResults I loved the video dude, and have always had the same opinion as you towards people when talking about this topic. My diet comprises of exactly as you say, >95% fruit and <5% tender greens. However, there greens can be grown from plants and picked from the plant without killing the plant. I would never pull a plant right out of the ground to eat it. This is half the reason I decided to become fruitarian, it is not just about health or diet, but also about sustainability/ethics
@RealRawResults Yeah, molars are for milling grains and plants, not fruits. Eat some veggies too, people. If someone says your canines are for tearing meat, tell them it;s for tearing leaves and piercing skins of FRUITS, not animals.
@RealRawResults Actually, there IS a theory that fruit alone CAN sustain us, but today's fruit bought in supermarkets have relatively terrible mineral concentrations due to the fruit being cultivated for specific characteristics, so I can understand the need to supplement with leafy green vegetables such as lettuce and spinach (I don't know of any others that can be eaten raw - tried mustard greens once, and they were NOT pretty).
@Volkov73 dont get caught up in the dogma volkov....we are meant to eat herbs(plants) n fruits...dont be a fruitarian for the shallow and narrow minded ideology
Not wanting to harm any life on the planet is by no means a shallow and narrow minded ideology. I am not caught up in anything, I am completely happy in what I do, and there is nothing wrong with how or anyone else eats in that sense. I am fruitarian because I love the positive affects I have on the planet and in my own garden, i see those benefits and experience them first-hand. Thank you =] Enjoy life and spread peace x
@FUbuilderburg Still, the plant matter we are meant to eat is very limited, since we cannot digest cellulose. At one point, humans supposedly were hindgut fermenters, but we lost that ability when we started eating more meat. Our now-useless appendix once contained that bacteria, but, we lost that to history, just one more suggestion that humans may NEED to eat SOME animal foods.
just because energy shift can be read from plants doesn't mean its emotional , and if were to assume reading energy changes due to some cause is emotional then were surrounded by this.... even rocks display energy which can alter... I see a immense difference between attempting to consuming something that can scientifically seen displaying displeasure and something that just natural can fall into ones hand which comes in surplus openly
