  • 300 was indeed originally a Dundee Corporation Daimler Fleetline. Tayside 300 was originally Volvo Ailsa 272 (WTS 272T), given the fleet 300 number when it was coverted to open top, so your eyes are not deceiving you! I took these videos on an extremely wet day, and I've also driven the bus many times.

  • Ex Tayside??300 was a Daimler!

  • Old 300 is looking good....and expertly driven by Young Fraser! (Don't know why I'm calling him "Young" when he's 10 years older than me, LOL!).

At 2:51 you can also see those dark thunderclouds in the distance - perfect weather for an open topper!

  • Hi Richard thanks for all your kind comments. It started raining west of Inchture so I stayed in lower saloon. By the time we got to Perth, it was like Niagara Falls at the bottom of the stairs. I thought about capturing in on video then thought about the comments that would probably be posted...."teach you lot to be out on an open top bus etc"... I decided discretion was needed!
