The crack and the stress marks are all on the portion where the ball joint of his shoulder connects into the rest of his upper torso. It runs parallel, and looks like its gonna snap after... oh... maybe another 4 dozen transformations :(

I loved the colors on these two though... especially the pink on cyclonus. Makes him looks like he stepped out of a technicolor t.v.

Update on Rodimus: When you check out his back ( on both of my outerspace Rods ) theres a crack and a stress mark.

I am 26. It takes me 10 minutes to transform this bad boy so I avoid these types of problems. :/ thats strike 3 for me. This is gonna suck massive balls, but I'm gonna start investing in the UN.

For that price, these figures better be flaked with gold as well.

Henkei, classic, and sons of cybertron Rodimus are great for the kit though. They have incredibly tight joints.

In short, both cyclonus and Rodimus have quality issues with their arms. I got mine from BBTS and a local store that specializes in exports. The protector kit itself is incredible.

Yea its the parts where they either have to fold or swing. Cyclonus has issues where the wing stays attached to the body (it swings to transform into his shoulder and arms). I have both classics Hotrod and the original dark purple Cyclonus, and between those two and these two, The classics were more stable.

This is my second " Battle in space " box, and both figures are like that from both boxes, so Its telling me its a quality issue. Actually, both my BiS has sticky tires.

MAN, THIS rodi prime is freakin awsom, i've always wanted to see rod in THIS light which hasbro is too shitty to do..AM digging the head sculpt,.. the comic was really kickass too, really enjoyed the artwork... however i really hate the FLESH UNFRIENDLY edges of the toy, WAY TOO MUCH complexity and all that shit... cant they just loose the pegs and make things simpler???

Just got mine. The instructions it comes with are horrible. I followed this vid step by step and transforming it was a breeze. This is easily one of the best, if not the best, enhancement sets from FansProject. The flames jumping off his chest armor have to be one of the most innovative features ever done on a transformer. Really an A+ figure. This review was top notch as well. Thank you ! :)

That 20,000 B.C. picture is another hint at a future project. I have some theories to what it is, but no way to really confirm either.

It may relate to a distant past story line when the transformers came to ancient earth, given it's year. with the ancient astronaut theory of history, it may corrilate with that.

Only time will tell.

Want your Rodimus to "be all it can be?". First off got the repolabel stickers for Classics Hot Rod making sure to apply the weird spoiler stickers. Then when displaying the figure don’t put on the wing extensions. I’m telling you its pretty freaking awesome!! It makes the piece so much more uniformed and really feels like a “badass” version of Rodimus Prime that’s waiting to jugular punch a decepticon.

City Commander is awesome, probably the best TF item I own, but Protector looks like it will be even better.

The improved functionality/playability of the trailer leftovers really adds a lot, and the little car thing is rad too, strange as it may be, Carrier is the most fun part of the G3 trailer, and I'm glad I'll have another similar toy to take to work to drive around on my desk.

Hey Vangelus, I just wanted to let your viewership know that there are mirror gold chrome adhesive sheets to accent Protector (assuming they go all Henkei on the set). I prefer the TFX-04 to the Masterpiece Rodimus Prime because I always thought that the trailer should be part of his armour in robot mode- otherwise he is just a 'clone' of Optimus Prime, whose trailer just 'disappears' when he transforms into robot mode, as seen in the cartoons; and suddenly re-appears when he transforms back into truck mode.

I just wish FP had done a bit of gold paint on the parts. Like the raised chest flames could have been gold to match the flames on the base figure.
