I, too, was disappointed by Monsters Vs. Aliens. I had heard that it was a kids film that touched on adult themes like feminism, and I also heard it was something of a throwback to the monster movie era. I liked the idea, but the execution wasn't great. Most of the humor came in the form of throwaway jokes and occasional pop culture references. It's a shame because there was real potential for a great film.

I thought the 3D was the best I've see in a while. Way better than Coraline, IMO. Great review nonetheless.
