Definitely a slick setup, but I would not recommend cutting or modifying the shell and eps like that! Not to mention the shell on HJC's are Polycarbonate, which isn't the strongest material to begin with!
How much did this cost you? What's the video like while you're actually riding? I feel like the chin of your helmet might catch more dash and windscreen then front view sometimes.
Thats pretty slick bro. Did you have to do a lot of cutting away of the helmet to get it to work right? Is the camera always in your helmet or is it removable?
It looks nice but what did you have to do to the chin bar to fit that in there? Isn't it likely that by (I assume) removing parts of the helmet shell and padding you have seriously weakened it?
Indeed. I was thinking of drilling a clean hole into the chin bar and mounting a small bullet cam in it. It would surely weaken the helmet, but not as much as this little number.
That being said, the video quality on this would be much higher... just dont crash

The camera is removable. The model is Kodak V570. Check out WilsonRyder69's channel for steps to create a helmet cam similar to this one.

how does the mic work against the wind during rides?

@couleurmillenia
Not too bad, but the wind noise can be quite loud at high speeds.
