Best ever interpretation of the favourite things is and will ever be by JOHN the great. It's a phenomenon how it transforms this song that sounds rather ordinary in the musical into to a monumental piece of music history. If I had to listen to it forever I wouldn't mind. much love to all coltrane lovers.....
sorry, it would have been nice if john wrote this song but Roger&Hammerstein did. it's from the 1959 musical a sound of music. you might have learnt this in the meantime anyway... ;-)
I haven't heard a Coltrane version of this song featuring a flute - too cool - love it! Thanks for the upload.

I LOVE COLTRANE
in the real world God is god
but in my musical fantasy Trane is god over all the musicians ever composers too

Truly a great piece. Well i guess it would be a great piece considering John Coltrane wrote it.
