I'm glad this idiot lost. He is a shame to the Republican Party. I guess the Dem's finally got together and had their say this last election. I hope he doesn't run again, 'cause I'll help the other side, just not to see his face again. He's useless.
Virgil Goode was one of the first Congressman to take Pickens Pledge for Energy Independence. The Pickens Plan is the only plan that can reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and reduce the price at the pump at the same time. The Pickens Plan can also help out South Side as we leverage the Interstate Natural Gas Pipelines to fuel Heavy Transportation with CNG and LNG. Thanks Virgil, for your support to bring New Energy to the 5th District, and all of America.
U.S. sovereignty? U.S. sovereignty? When in the name of Jesus has anyone ever questioned U.S. sovereigny? The last time anyone questioned this, it was England during the Revolutionary War. Please come up with something more compelling than "U.S. sovereignty" to justify keeping this bigoted, embarrassing excuse for a Congressman in office. He makes me ashamed of being a Virginian.
The Bio-diesel was probally shipped in on a reg. diesel big rig tanker. Why does a tractor running on bio-diesel matter for a few hours on one day, when we have 100,000s on the roads everyday running on reg. diesel.
Virgil is a NATIVE born son of the 5th district who used to be a democrate, when the democrates were the party of the working man, instead of a party of big brother, elistist, unpatiotic, and last but not least the keep the poor in their place (the bottom) with handouts, party.
Virgil good was not always this dumb, many years ago Virgil was "common sense" legilator...but tims chaged (and so did his paryt affliation) and he decieded the only way to stay in Congress was to take the to revert to simplistic slogans and the "low road"...
This guy simply needs to voted out of office, this is a shining example of just how out of touch he has become...pathetic!
Yea, I heard about it too! Too bad I'm not in his district, I'd vote for Perriello. I'd personally send a Toyota Prius to pick up Goode and drive him back to VA after losing the election!! Shame on him. VA needs someone like Perriello who doesn't mind rolling up his sleeves and will work hard for US! Not someone that's trying to impress us. You can tell Goode's office staff is writing responses because they blame it on the 'leftists' If Perriello will sweat for us now, he'll do it in DC too!!
In response to "too bad I'm not in his district, I'd vote for Perriello" Perriello isn't from my (the 5th district) either. Just a northern transplant who wants to make the
P.S. Why is it that when someone is exposed, it is automatically blamed on the "leftists?" BTW, tywiggle, are you saying that someone put a gun to Goode's head and made him get in the HUMMER? I read Perriello graduated from Yale, but if his supporters asked him to ride in a HUMMER, he would have most likely said "no thank you." It's like eating a steak in front of a homeless shelter and blaming it on your friend that bought you the steak! Give me a break. My vote would be for the tractor guy.
"Goode"never looked so BAD!!I heard about this youtube video and I don't even live in his district!! It has nothing to do with whether he owns the hummer or not. How can he go and comfort/inspire the poor in his district when he steps out of a HUMMER?? Perriello rode on a tractor! Seems like Perriello is more our type. Goode is a prime example of what is wrong with our nation now. I'd vote for whoever walks the talk. And don't blame the 'leftists' for showing us Goode's REAL COLORS!
Virgil Goode did not bring the Hummer; it is privately owned by a local resident. The float came via Fluvanna Republicans who ardently support Congressman Goode and consider him to be a true patriotic American. We appreciate his unfettered conservatism.
Drill now, and harness the billions of gallons of oil under our own land. We could all drive Hummers then. At least, those of us who own and operate a successful small business in America.
I'd vote for that guy in a heartbeat simply because he has the gumption to drive what he wants and not succumb to environmental radicals. Two thumbs up!

Being orginally from FC Va( Ihave since moved) i'm wondering when he became a Republicanm, When i left, he was still a Democrat....wtf?

Goode was not even at this parade. He was NOT in the hummer. Perriello is not a good choice. What a sad outcome.

Simple Facts Ladies and Germs.
Fact 1. The fine gentleman, Congressman Goode, never rode in the vehicle, nor did he bring it.
Fact 2. The Hummer gets better gas mileage than the tractor.
Fact 3. Virgil walked the entire parade route shaking hands.
Fact 4. The 5th belongs to Virgil despite the target painted on his back.
There is bio-diesel for sale around here? I wonder where to purchase it?
Give the spin a break, unless it is a drill head hitting ANWR. Drill now. Stop whining.

Actually, Periello was born and raised in Albemarle - he went to Western Albemarle and St. Anne's Belfield. Don't just make assumptions.

The whole issue is foolish. And we don't have the oil here to all drive hummers for very long either. No matter what we do we will need to change.
