I think what got into the hit parade in Sri Lanka was the Sinhala version of this. "Mustapaa mama mustapaa, upanne mama ehe arabiye. sasthara kiya kiya loke wate, yanne mama otuwekuge pitay" sung by Christopher Paul .which means " I am mustapaa born in Arabia. I go round the world on a camel making astrological predictions" - asrologers are still very common in Sri Lanka, and many seek their advise on matters concerning marriage, house building, and even to find culprits in a robbery.
