There is a brwon belt and green belt in tae kwon do. my tae kwon do trains olympic style. it takes us 3 years to get black belt. phdharok ur stupid because theres 11 belts to pass. my grand master is awsome because he the team head coach of the sidney olympic 2000. his name is grand master young in cheon

Doh114 is correct. I've been taking taekwondo for 8 years and kickboxing for 7 years. They've added a couple more colors but alot of sub belts for each colored belt. such as Green belt, now they have like Green with white stripe, Green with black stripe, etc..

its me bandosownsyou666, yes there are in the newer version, there are only 5 tae kwon do belts, 6 traditionally, in america and most other places they added striped to make 10, people would be too high of a rank too easily otherwise. I train with master kang, at kang tae kwon do and hap ki do. he ninth degree grand master so he whoops ass

tornado kicks arent hard to do... spining hook kicks are hard so congratz, but if u want something thats hard to do try 540 hook kicks or 360 axe kicks that are strong not flimsy 360 axe kicks

too set somthing clear the demo team and wat they do isnt practical most of them do a style of tae kwon do called reed tae kwon do (non contact) if u have a decent instructer he will teach you how too make everything work personally im in trhe australian national team for second year running and im going too the commenwealth games in nov im a second dan and been training for 9 years. btw if u go too ati ur a shit cunt (People in australia will know wat i mean)

the kicks are nice but not deadly at all, most of it is for show. they can throw a hard kick though... trust me i've fought people that took TKD and one guy almost broke my arms when i was blocking, they are tough people if properly trained like these guys. i've taken mix martial arts for 7 years and its basically the top branch of all styles

hey i do taekwondo sparring and stuff and i dont recomend trying some of the flashy moves in street fights. if ur gonna fight somone the back kick and snap kicks are good and if (and if ur fast only if ur fast use roundhouses) but stick with one roundhouse cause if u do two ur second is goin to be fast bu weak

I know of an orange belt, but we by passed that and just went to green. our rank system is Wht/high wht, yellow/highyellow, Green/HG, Blue/HB, Red/HR, Brown/HB(black belt canidate), then black, theeen 1st degree-9th degree. There are many rank systems. I sparred in Blue belt division and I went against a purple belt. I was like "omg what?" But its just like Advanced Blue. When my instructor went through his ranks he had a lime belt. (light green)

Its only that TKD is not designed as a ringsport, so if you will meet them on the street, you will pretty much crap your pants.

The "real" defence teqnigues, such as the grabs, throws and jointlocks/breaks are not allowed in the ring and thats a shame cuz thats TKD's strong point ;)
