Duuuuudddeee! I had done this when I was like 4 out of sheer discovery! I thought I had created it! I had never known someone else to do it if I hadnt tought them! Now 15 years later I come to find out it has a name already! This bites! -___-
Just scrolling through APK's website because I'm interested in getting into parkour, but don't want to kill myself or destroy my chances of prgression by messing up my muscles and found this. Great videos, they have really helped me get in shape! Hope you upload more sometime.
Hey, i really wanna learn this but its really hard. is there any "strength" excersise i can do to make this easier, i mean what muscle groups is good to train?
You should show how to get into all these things.. Not just show yourself already doing it. If we cant even get into the position properly how are we suppose to put it to use =/
hey ryan, talal from wyo. i've been working on these for a while but i've also been doing them on a wall or curb so that it works the side to side balance as well. i also found that it helps me focus and stabilize myself if i touch my toes together.
hey ryan, talal from wyoming. i like doing these too but i put my toes together, it helps me focus a little better to be more stable. i've also been working on doing them on a narrower base such as a wall or curb so that it works the side to side balance as well.
They should be resting on the back of the elbow or the triceps, but you aren't supposed to put all your weight on knee support. If you want to get the most out of doing this drill, you should be able to progressively use less support for your legs and more in your shoulders and arms.
@Dark2NeS listen(really you have to read) put tour hands pointing to opposite side, 1 to the left and the other to the right , and your elbows inside your knees then touch the floor with your head, and finally get your feets up. from chile hope to be usefull :)
Definitely the easiest to do. Now, going from a frog stand to a hand stand or a tuck planche to a hand stand is a bit more difficult (have only gotten literally 2 frog-2-hands in my life, very recently). Also, I can only do a tuck planche for about 3-5 seconds, yeah, not very good.
Yes, over time we will post videos of all the progressions. they go in the following order: frog stand, tuck planche, advanced tuck planche, straddle planche, half lay planche, full lay planche.
Does anyone have tips on how to get from the tuck planche to advanced tuck planche?

KeVab1337 9 months ago
@KeVab1337 this is a pretty basic exercise that takes a little bit of strength and more balance. keep trying and you will get it!

May I ask. the straighter your arms get, the more tension you have? Or is that the "proper" execution of the Frog Planche
jamesB1215 1 year ago
@jamesB1215 Proper execution for all planche progressions is to keep your arms straight.

Is it neccesary to rest your kness on your elbows?
reppingAiEa 1 year ago
@reppingAiEa yeah, that is part of the exercise. if that is too easy, move on to the tuck planche.
DemonDrills 1 year ago
@DemonDrills O: this whole time i was doing the frog stand without resting my knees on my elbow -___-"

thx a lot man! are my elbows supposed to go slighty past my knee (like how i do them xd) or resting on the back of the elbow??

how long should one do each progression before moving to the next?
SgtLoveGames 2 years ago
Once I can hold a progression for 30-45 sec., I move on to the next. Some experts say move on to the next when you can hold it for 60 sec.
