  • he's spitting on the mic again

  • Good disclaimer announcer. Slow down.

  • acer sux.

  • @nascarracer1000

The MacBook Air uses an SSD, ha! LMAO! It also doesn't use an atom processor...

  • @dragonmustard2 Who the hell isn't quantum computing these days, right.

  • @dragonmustard2 If only the stupid at Apple where to use the Atom for the macbook air we could get decent run time out of it.

  • @newtubetubetube

I don't know what you're saying but I disagree, Apple should not put an Intel Atom processor in their beast.

  • @dragonmustard2 The macbook air would be amazing with a Atom. Right now it is merely a underpowered laptop. With a Atom cpu the macbook air would be a overpowered netbook!

  • @newtubetubetube

I think you are truly truly misinformed about processors and probably computers in general.

The Core 2 Duo processor is much more powerful than an Atom processor. I don't get why you would want to put a crappy processor in the Air. The Atom processor is weak and would not make the Macbook Air more powerful, and besides the Macbook Air is in its own category and is already stronger than a netbook. I think you should read on Atom and C2D processors.

  • @dragonmustard2 So that it can be use through the day without carrying a power adapter. The Air is not so thin and light when you have to carry all the acompagning laptop gears...

The Atom is not a crappy cpu. Its perfect for netbook. And yes, the macbook air is noting more then a netbook with low battery life. Anyone doing serious work on laptop would get the regular macbook or the macbook pro.

It is you that is misinformed and don't go further then accept Apple's marketing as fact.

  • @newtubetubetube

It is you who is misinformed. The Atom is a weaker processor, sure you may get more battery life out of it but at what cost. Come on, besides 5/7 hours is perfectly acceptable, have you seen the HP laptops with 5 hours. The Macbook Air is in a different category than a netbook. The Macbook pro is very thin unlike the netbooks on the market.

You should know that the Core 2 Duo has more power than the Atom.

  • @dragonmustard2 Yeah every thing from APPLE is in a different category! Think different. Worship Jobs.

The Atom is, per watt, more powerful then the Core2. The Atom is a better choice for all the macbook air. 5-7 hours of apple marketing run time is worthless for a all-day unplugged netbook. If they would have gone with the Atom along with the SSD already in place they could have got 12 hours of real use out of it. That would have be amazing. That would truly be in it own fucking category.

  • @newtubetubetube

They already have netbooks with an Atom processor along with a SSD. Im saying that its the only one in the category because of its size.

  • i am watching the video on one

  • awwww man i hate netbooks D: but they have more HD memory than Macbook Air LMAO

  • The HP5101 is more targeted towards the business user that would appreciate the look and professional style versus the plastic that is typically found on netbooks. There are some good deals on the 5101 at the HP Business site for computers. I personally like the rubbery grip and the durakeys. Though just like any nerd, I'd like my netbook to have more memory and processing power.

  • get the 2140 because you get a express slot and a slightly larger keyboard, a thinner wider mouse with the left right clickers on the side

  • awesome machine. better than Dell Mini 10 and is more advance than anything out there. Yes, it is very feature rich and I have no issues with the fan noise. Matter of fact, my laptop is making a lot noise in comparison to the 5101. So the fan noise is pretty minor in comparison to say the Dell. Which we all know Dell is Junk.

  • I don't think it is the best. I like the new eeepc 1008ha.

  • My Only problem with this is the price. The whole Idea of netbooks was cheap computing.

I picked up my 2133 for £200 back in the day. This is £400+

  • do you know when this netbook be release in the Philippines?

  • i was sure he was going to say "hello, this is the orientation film for station 3...of dharma initiative"

  • Looks great but why does the price of this netbook vary greatly even if it seems they have the same features?

  • Some people need to remember this is a business laptop and it's durable and doesn't need to look flashy. This is better than the Toshiba.

  • so which one is better in terms of the construction? which one is more solid and better for peopel who travel or on the road a lot? HP 5101 Netbook or the Toshiba netbook?

  • The HP clearly better? No way. The Toshiba is gorgeous and comes in 5 colors, not 3 ((black, white, brown, blue, and pink--so far). The HP looks drab by comparison.

The Toshiba comes with XP instead of Vista, which I find a better choice for a netbook.

I think it's the Toshiba that has the superior design and the typing experience is as good or better! The Toshiba has fantastic build quality and battery life. The NB205 absolutely kills the 5101 at a better price.

  • my advice, get a lapel mic and balance the audio.

  • you, you should move a bit further away from the mic. Thanks.

  • The Toshiba NB205 is way better I have the Toshiba and love it. feels much more solid in construction also

  • pretty sweeet

  • looks nice!

  • When are they going to release the "HD" screen. It isn't available on their website yet.

  • Manufacturers tend to have different release dates for different countries, even states and provinces.

  • I could have sworn it was an option as it drove the price up quite a bit and I chose the budget model HP5101.
