@nasersi I just think it's funny that the greastest of all time argument always comes down to Senna vs Schumacher. What about Stewart, Fangio, and Clark? What about Prost, who scored more points than Senna in both seasons they were teammates? I'm inclinded to say Stewart is the greatest. He won a greater percentage of his starts than Senna and had basically the same number of podiums after 99 starts (43 to Senna's 44) and did it with a team that had no history of F1 success before he arrived.

I've the same question. But I guess by the time NSX has yet been launched (or not ready for such an event even if launched). This is the MP4/5B so it's probs taken in 1990. NSX was launched in 1990. So problem of dates perhaps?

C'mon it's stupid to compare their wins in wet races! In one season there were 3 wets in another 5 or 6...you can't compare that. But fact is: Schumacher is the best driver ever!
Watch Adelaide 1989 - it was very wet, Senna did many mistakes and crashed. Watch Belgium 1992 and 1995 (from 16th to 1st), Spain 1996, Monaco 1997, Hungary 1998, Japan 2000 - fabulous Schumacher's victories in very wet conditions. Senna's victories in wet tracks - 13; Schumacher's - 16.
Senna was unable to do on Lotus what Schummi did on Benetton (specially with Ford in 1994!). I'm only sorry not to see more battles between them. They would shut up you...

F1 improved across the years, but had been under many limitations. Senna drove cars with 1400hp, while the MS's best had only 950hp. All the teams improved their cars, but Benetton and Ferrari never achieved such good results as they did with MS (and his opponents were as good as Senna's). On the other hand Toleman (Benetton), Lotus, Williams had been champion with other drivers but not with Senna - he was unable to improve a car and wanted always the best.
Have you ever tried to handle 1400 HP on a car with waaaay less aerodynamic?! It isn't only power... and NO, MS NEVER had an opponent such as Prost, Mansell Lauda and etc... you cannot compare Mika Hakkinen, Hill or Alonso with guys like Mansell, Lauda, Piquet, Prost.. I do think that MS is a great driver, above average, for sure... but not as talented as Senna...
@JMRRF That's true. One of Schumi's greatest talents(according to f1 specialists) was the ability to work very hard on the car and improve it, like no other pilot in the history of the sport. Lauda, Prost, Senna, Mansell, Piquet, Hill, Hakkinen, Villenevue, all of them champions with teams and cars allready at their top best!! F1 is a very complex sport . It's much better to focus on more qualitative characteristics when comparing pilots, rather than trying to prove who's the fastest ever......

I believe Villeneuve was a great driver and had a huge potencial, but we cannot say he would made Senna cry as he was killed in that terrible car crash so early in his career...

well... We all saw Schumacher better than senna with a similar car. Senna only beated schumacher with a better car. Prost was faster than Senna most of the races, moreover, Prost has more % of victories and more % fastest laps than Senna.
Go back to the 1984 Monaco GrandPrix, Senna with the worst car (Tolleman) starting at the back of the grid was closing the gap on Alain Prost(McLaren) by 4 seconds a lap. Senna finished second because the race was ended earlier. He would`ve passed Prost and won the race if it hadnt been ended.
On more thing migbarbero27, Ayrton Senna was a F1 rookie in 84, he drove the worst car of the season in Monaco which is the hardest track in the worst weather condition. It rained so hard that day in 84 they had to pump water into the tunnel so all of the track would be wet. So dont say Senna was good because of his car. Thats why you know and speak of his name till this day.
Well, time has run 1:15 when Senna starts his lap without a flying start. I think, he completes the lap even before 2:30 fills up. Maybe his car was something like 150 kilos lighter than F1 cars normally were because his lap time was otherwise quite impossible.
My 2 favorite drivers in the world. Senna the greatest F1 driver and McNish the Scottsman.

Estoril was a beautiful and well designed track. 1st and 2nd curves have been destroyed and overtaking points are fewer nowadays.

Breed86, that is not a V12. It is a V10. The V12 was only fitted to the mp4/6 and Mp4/7. The car in this video is a Mp4/5B from the 1990 season.
