thank you so much for putting this up here, the tabs online weren't even close to right. It's a great song and you did a very clear, concise job of teaching it. Thanks again
This is great...awesome cover also. By any chance to you know the picking pattern that he is using in the live versions on youtube, instead of the studio version. If so thanks keep up the good work.
Where do you add the Am chord without the pointer finger???? I played the whole thing without ever using it and it came out fine just curious if it's even really needed?
im wanting to play this song with my friend and i want to play the back up notes on my electric guitar, lol an i definatly dont have a trained ear, any ideas?
haha i know everyone is saying this, but i'm also having trouble doing that rhythmic muting...does anyone know of a tutorial for that technique? it's driving me crazy cause the song doesn't sound complete without it. great video by the way!
hey, thank you for this tutorial, u seem to care for people who wanna learn something.
But would it be troublesome for you to tab it, coz the audio is kind of quiet and I don't get some parts. Anyways, i'm straining here to get it and I really wanna learn the song. The tabs in the net seem to be different and more complicated.
I guess you could maybe start out practicing the muted sound on the entire chords instead of the one string that is done in the song, other tnan that, I would just say practice. Playing like him takes a lot of practice and some work, but you get the hang of it after a while
i'm trying to get the muted palm slapping down. i can't do it. do you have any more pointers? also, it sounds like you're picking and slapping in this video, but in your actual cover video, it looks like you're strumming. how do you pick and slap? practice? any certain techniques? it sounds really good when you do it haha.
Haha, yea it kind of takes practice, but it's not too hard to do. In regards to the pick and slap, really the only thing I do is hit the bridge with my palm simultaneously when I pluck the note, so it's more or less just like a rhythmic palm mute, it just looks like I'm strumming but I'm only hitting one string at a time, I'm pretty sure I did it in the cover video too, it's just really soft and it kinda of sounds like a snare. Just keep at it :)
Thanks

I'm struggling to get the muted sound with the taps (at 6:00). Any suggestions?
