Too many breaks in this tune by these guys. it sounds like a first take before a final release. This definitely does not compare to steam which is more soulful & moving.

Actually the only difference in the tone and clarity is in the recording. Much more is known about recording now than then so even though the actual vocals may be clearer now they have lost something. This is due to the fact that almost all recording is done digitally now. I also believe that much less time is dedicated to finding quality musicians singers and songwriters because music has become incorporated and cheapened. I'm with you. The old stuff is just better. -From a sound engineer...
