How to save battery on ipod touch

Hi, I have an iTouch but I think the battery doesn’t last long it should last, because the application "Battery +" is timing the charge in accordance with the task to perform, in this case play 3D games, Battery + tells me that I have between 3 hours and some minutes, but it seems that in reality is less than half. Is this app right? Or is the battery bad?

another thing too......(physics) its better to let the battery drain down too low before recharging because if you charge it unneccessarily, and it already has a decent amount if charge, you reduce the charge cycles so dont charge it unless battery is low =)

Okay, I just got an iPod Touch and i have been charging overnight because it is usually at 50% battery or less at the end of the day should i contue to do this? is it okay? because ive heard the battery stops charging when it gets full.

i would reccomend only charging it is completely dead (it will turn off by its self) this is a better thing to do because your ipod can only be charged for such a long time and then it will have to get replaced.. Charging the battery when it is only 50 % is OK but it can decrease your battery life.. hope this helped you :)

It isn't like old batteries where they recommend discharging fully before recharging so that it lasts longer. Lithium ion batteries can be damaged if you drain it too long without charging.

The Ipod Touch does come with a battery inside of it.. you mean that the battery has stopped working? do you still have a warranty with apple? If you do go to apple and get it fixed! And you can buy a charger at apple, radioshack, walmart and many more places like that :)

Just wanted to let you know: I tried this out today. 3 hour train journey, To the capital and back which makes 6 hours. Done everything in this video. Only got to the second battery icon of the battery missing a small bit. I'm so surprised it saved THAT much battery.
