Nasal Irrigation

My ENT said use a syringe and wants me to have the water come out my mouth not other nostril, it is really horrible and then everything smells so weird plus after 2 days of doing it I felt more stuffed up then before I think I will try just in and out other nostril instead of feeeling like I sucked water up my nose in the pool lol

personally, i would use a neti pot

The problem with using a neti pot is if the stuff is really impacted in there, it doesn't have enough pressure to push everything out. With the squeeze bottle, you can put more pressure on it, and it helps to force more goo out. Plus, you don't have to tilt your head to nearly parrallel to the sink. Suprisingly, it actually feels good. Just don't make the water too hot or cold. Then it stings.

Oh cool! I have the exact same one! Except I only got sample kit and that only has 5 sachets. I've had this problem with my nose for years now and only bothered to go to my doctor today and he gave this to me. How are you making it flow like that out of your other nostril?

I'm supposed to be doing this right now but whenever I do it just come back down the same nostril. Wtf? Sometimes it goes into the back of my throat.

the same thing happened to my brother his first few times when he tried it. we discovered he wasn't squeezing the bottle hard enough. haha this sounds ultra strange but the more pressure the better.

i did this for 3 days and then developed a ripping ear infection!!!! It felt like the saline solution was being squirted in my ear from inside my nose

Use distilled water and sea salt, 1/4 tsp. heat a cup of water with the salt in it in a glass container in the microwave for 35 seconds (approx body temp) Lean way over the sink. This may be wierd or gross, but it instantly helps a sinus headache. Won't work if your nose is clogged. Use a decongestant temporarily. This takes care of all my nasal problems! No more infections.

That is the same kit and sinus rinses I use. It works wonders!! It helped me when I had horrible sinus congestion. I did it 4-5 times a day when clogged up and it went away completely in a few days.

I still do it at least once a day for preventative measures and general sinus health

Doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought the treatment was - I'm probably going to break one of those Neti pots out or something like what you have to do this. This sinus infection is killing me and keeping me away from work and school! Not good with finals coming up..

Sinus Rinse is the best stuff for sinus problems! I haven't had an infection in years now. I use it anytime I have problems.
