I remember my guinee pig years as a kid. I was about 12 when I got her, got Pop in a good mood and he said I could "borrow" a GP from the petshop to mate with her. She rejected every pig I brought home, biting him and sending them on their way. Finally I got "STYMIE" and the change in her face was priceless... "Oh, who have we heeeerrree??" She had 4 babies and I eventually found good homes for each one. She passed away when I was a teen. No more pigs.. sniff..those pigs are adorable. So perfect

God this made me cry.. remind me of my little girl Snowbell. She had 4 babies, then we got a guinea pig for my sister. They were 4 years apart but Snowbell treated Chloe just like she was one of her own :(

Lil Castor lived, and is going great, he has a couple of problems, but that goes with him being the runt! They are now 8 months old and will be 9, in a couple of days. . He's still so tiny, and always will be, but hes just so special to us. . Awww poor little Castor! I like the runts best myself my dog is the runt of her litter, she's a papillon. She's 3 1/2 years old now and almost weighs 5lbs. her family didn't reject her though. :)

@watchensee - Hes a big boy now 8 months old, will be 9 on the 19th! Hes still really tiny compared to the rest LOL bless him. Aww bless her thats good that she didn't get rejected! Misty (Castors mum) started to take him back, well kinda! She still didn't feed him though, But she let him run about with her and the other. Midnight (His Sister) is even bigger than him! He'll always be small, but i think he likes being the smallest haha. . But hes happy & healthy that was the main thing =)

@cheekydevilmartina Aww that's wonderful I'm so glad to hear he's doing alright do they all have homes now? Yeah Abby's Mom was the runt of her litter although she's much bigger than Abby weighing in at about 8-9 lbs. I was told by the breeder that she treated Abby special letting her come first to feed in a litter of three. I've seen other papillon mom's and they didn't reject their runt puppies. One papillon had 5-6 puppies, and still cared for the runt. Love your guinea pigs here! {=)

Misty rejected him cos he was so close to death when he was born, didn't start walking till he was 2 days of age & even in this video hes a little wobbly still! Nope they are all still with me, plus the new arrivels which came in July, so have a family of 8 piggies! but no more from now on as Misty second pregnancy happened by mistake. Its a cavies instinct to leave the weak behind sadly

I have to be careful because 2 brothers don't like one another now that they have grown up a little more. It'll go either way.
