dude... about the person at 2:49... you can speed up one second and the next one slow it down. The part at 2:49 was the only part that is in real time.
Gravity is not strong enough to pull you back so fast. In addition, the length of your jumps are very short.
@awevoquesi - once again - the video speed was not adjusted at all. Watch the video in hd and full screen, I'm actually not going all that fast. If you've ever ridden this trail, you'll know that it's steep.... and yes gravity is strong enough to allow riders accelerate when not on the brakes. Also - the "jumps" in the video are hardly jumps at all, so air time minimal to none.
You are faster than this guy, but his vid makes it seem so much crazier due to the sounds and angles. Yours actually might even be sped up, since your air time seems really short and that dude with the dogs has some "hyper" legs at 2:49.
@Varaxis I love the chesty cam angle on the "v=_6k22luIEsw". I sometimes go with this angle but have found that the helmet cam offers the most stable platform for me. I'll take your comment about speeding up this video as a compliment, but I'd like to make it clear that I don't speed up my videos. My response to your "hyper" legs comment is that the person at 2:49 is walking up a steep part of the trail, so small steps may have been needed for him to make it up that section.
Damn. How often do you ride this? I took my 4" XC bike there and it just seems so loose, steep, and rocky, that it's hard to control. You can't use your brakes over all the looseness and rocks well at all, and I find myself slowing down a bit much. I was particularly shocked by how fast you went over the giant log at 1:44
@Varaxis I've ridden the trail about 10 times before this video was made. I was riding a 6" "all mountain" bike which will react and feel way different from a 4" xc bike. Long story short, you can hit rough stuff harder on an AM bike vs an XC bike.
sick man, rode this trail as well for the first time today on my Ellsworth, alot steeper than you can tell here haha, fun trail though i like the little drops every once in a while
SICK RIDE BROTHA! Hit that same trail for the first time a couple weeks ago... but not like that. You slaughtered that ride. GOOD STUFF! What kind of rig are you riding?
yeah you are right... I double check the video and I do not why I said that... I was wrong. I am so sorry. Good job man! you are fast!
I am going this saturday to big bear. I hope to see some friendly riders.

But after all it is your video and it is good...

@dayol33 - it's a super fun trail. in the video, I'm riding a 2002 Giant AC with a 2011 Fox FIT RLC. I've since moved up to a Specialized Enduro.
