Great touch, brother. Excellent combo of backdrop art and high ball activity. Sell your wares to Trains Magazine video division immediately (hope they pay you well).
I love the scene from 1:53 to 2:09 with that K3LA I think. At 3:14 more 70 MPH. Man is he flying at 4:32. At 5:12 more more more. At 5:56 did I finally see a slow train. At 6:25 that's the slowest Intermodal yet through Mazon. But yet at 6:46 Coal Flys. What is the speed limit for coal trains anywhere in the U.S.? Then at 7:23 it starts back up again. At 8:29 I guess your back home LOL, but not. I'm speechless at 9:28, that's an awesome ending to a superb week.
i just found out today that up is getting off the bnsf and will use kcs to kc

Sorry! I didn't even realize that I was hitting the Chillicothe Subdivision until I was already on my way home from Kansas. Maybe some other time...

Glad to see you're enjoying the videos, Tom!
The coal train was going about 50mph. That seems to be S.O.P. out west on BNSF and UP. The coal trains have just as much priority as mixed bags.

do they ever use that siding track ? it looks like it needs new cross ties big time .great video .

I have no idea. I'd imagine it's only used for storage of Maintenance equipment, or setting off bad order locomotives or cars.
Thanks for the compliment!
