I Had a wig and left my natural hair alone for two months and after not touching it, my natural hair was on my shoulders. No hot comb, no blow dry, nothing. I did the mistake of perming it to see the length and within a month my hair was up to my ears. Perm contains Sodium Chloroxide. The same chemical in it purest form to burn holes or melt metal pipes. No wonder the hair won't grow.

I Had a wig and left my natural hair alone for two months and after not touching it, my natural hair was on my shoulders. No hot comb, no blow dry, nothing. I did the mistake of perming it to see the length and within a month my hair was up to my ears. Perm contains Sodium Chloroxide. The same chemical in it purest form to burn holes or melt metal pipes. No wonder the hair won't grow.

Its just as big a mistake to assume that the only "legitimate" skin tone is a dark one, or that nappy hair is the only "black" hair. Black people are born every day with narrow noses, flatter behinds and lighter skin than what some consider to be indicative of "authentic" blackness. If you look at these women today, many have gone natural, red head or now have pixie cuts. It's their bodies, lives and choice. They make their own money and can do what they want.
