@pokemonizkooolio Sega died because they never stuck with one system for more than a few years. They constantly kept bombarding fans with newer systems, instead of better games that would stick and fans would love. So fans pulled away from Sega. The PS2 coming out was the nail in the coffin though. I love my Dreamcast, Sega actually got it right....but it didn't matter in the end.
@ENZOtaki Nothing more than a play toy? The N64 offered revolutionary games such as Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, while being the host for many classics such as the Banjo-Kazooie games, Turok 2, Rayman 2, Donkey Kong 64, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Mischief Makers, Kirby 64, Goldeneye 007, Mario Party 3 (the best in the series), and Pokemon Stadium just to name a few. Even though I grew up with the PS1,all it had to offer was below-average 3D graphics and a few good RPGs. Btw N64 AND DREAMCAST FTW
@DoixStudios Ok so the N64 had a few good titles I will give you that...But the PS1 had more of the better kind of games such as Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy , Gran Turismo, Medevil, Spyro, Resident Evil, Tekken, Twisted Metal, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Duke Nukem Time To Kill, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Loaded, Reloaded, Crash Bandicoot, Silent Hill, Dino Crisis, Oddworld, Brave Fencer Musashi, Xenogears, Syphon Filter, Tomb Raider, Wild Arms and Castlevania just to name a few!
@ENZOtaki Well, PS1 appealed to the more adult crowd, while N64 appealed to the more younger crowd, so that you are correct. But game qualaties, they are even, cause its just stupid to try and compare FF7 to Super Mario 64, both totally different and great games! So, i think they are both of equal greatness! :D
I don't understand the attraction for an old console: is it a collection type purchase, or are you genuinely just playing for the games? Can anyone explain?
@FlightSimTutorials Yes you should get a tripod although this is months old and I'm not sure you have one by now but watching this video does make me dizzy and you have a such a great camera and stuff to show that I'm sure a tripod would make your channel even better. BTW I just started watching some of your videos after I search for NEW Dreamcast unboxing :)
I still own my Dreamcast. It's currently the only game system I still play. I've owned every system as of late, but only really liked the Nintendo Wii. PS3, and 360 give me bad headaches. Same with the XBOX. I still remember my first Dreamcast memory. I was walking home from school with my friend, and we stopped at a local K.B Toys. I went right to the game section, and saw this on display. This system had amazing graphics, and the gameplay was great i was instantly hooked! Still play it daily.
Thats where your actually wrong man, lol. I traded in my nintendo dsi to my local retro game store to get my sega dreamcast Yea dsi has alot more games, working internet, and camera and crap, but Idk? Dreamcast had alot of great memories I guess. So I had to get another dreamcast when I saw it. Didnt have the money so I said goodbye Nintendo DSI Hello Sega Dreamcast! Lol Got quite a few games with it too including Sonic Adventure of course.
no dvd hurt it, but dont you remember going ot walmart and seeing sega had about 2 feet of shelf space and nentendo had about 10 feet. they paid for more space than sega. im gonna start getting games online.
you should get the vga cable for dreamcast , the composite cable = analog signal , vga = digital signal , so , dreamcast has antialiasing , if you get the vga box , even in a big tv you will not see the pixelation... ( not very much , it will look a lot sharper than a ps2 i'm sure )
WOW i remember when i got one for chrismas in 2000 i loved that system i been thinking about getting a new one cuz i have no idea what happened to my old one dude you gotta tell me how much you paid and where i can get one!!!!
I noticed that theres a slight border to the left side of the screen, are you using the Official Sega Scart cable, I Just purchased one off of eBay in order to play mine because the ancient lead that came with it is totally Dead, and I've seen people saying the Border ruins it, but if thats all its doing on a TV that size, then I doubt I have anything to worry about.
i had a dreamcast a year ago but i decided to pond it the games i had were fishing, crazy taxi, mortal kombat, nba 02 , world baseball 01, nfl 02, and samba de amigo.
I bought a Sega Dreamcast the first day it came out and I loved it! I thought it was way better than Playstation and Nintendo 64. The graphics were soooo amazing at the time I couldn't believe it. To this day I still can't believe the Dreamcast didn't do better. The system was so far ahead of its time. Easily the most underrated system of all time. I still have my Dreamcast to this day and I love it! Dreamcast R.I.P :(
You MUST BUY Jet Set Radio Future!!! Its the absolute BEST dreamcast game I EVER PLAYED. Insane amounts of fun! Damn, I need to buy me a dreamcast again!!!
@FyNest90 jet set radio future is only for xbox not dreamcast its one of the best XBOX games not dreamcast jet grind radio is one of the best DREAMCAST games
@FyNest90 jet set radio future is the nome of the sequel , the second game , on the xbox , the first one is only jet set radio ( pal )/jet grind radio (ntsc)
Hello, dreamcast looks really great in your lcd tv, can you tell me the model ?
my dreamcast and old consoles looks awfull on my lcd... so i still use and old panasonic tau for psx, dreamcast, and saturn... but in your tv it looks amazing !!
Oh thank you very much but when you go close to the screen you can really see the pixelation because of the lower res. dreamcast signal. It's quite awful up close. I am almost 100% positive it's not your LCD screen that is causing this. Get the cheapest LCD screen out there and it will still be far better than what it needs to be for dreamcast. Dreamcast does 640x480 pixels so that is 480p which is technically DVD quality. However, due to our 21st century eyes, it's easy to spot the pixelation.
If you get a dreamcast VGA cable your dreamcast will look aty least 100 times better on an HDTV...trust me I got one and it looks great on my sony 52"
@TOMANDKATIE Yes the DVD format definitely played a big role in the death of the DC but it was ultimately Sega's stubborn choice to go with the proprietary GD-ROM drive in hopes of eliminating game piracy.......didn't work, it was cracked within hours.
I forget what game I went out to buy for Dreamcast full price $90.00 took it home and beat it in like 3 hours! I was sooooo Pissed off! I think it was "Lightning Force" or some shit! That Inspired me to get the boot disc!
