  • why the hell didnt he just toke the right ellbow, and moved right away to the right, that way you dont need to do all the rolling!

  • These guys are so lucky. where Im from we get literally about 5 seconds of newaza if we arent in a pin already

  • What I truly hate about Judo is that when you fall on your stomach (thus giving the back to the opponent) you sit there until the ref stands you up or the guy on the top tries to submit you (as we seen in this video). No wonder BJJ guys love to roll with Judo guys, the Judo guys constantly give their backs because they're used to the competition ... this is horrible for self-defense as giving your back might get you killed. Judokas need to change this ASAP. No more giving back.

  • @pcjudosambo Many judo techniques can be used for self defense. But judo, as a whole, is designed for sport... not combat. You really cannot compare the two.

  • @shueevon As I read about the development of Kano Jiu-Jitsu which was later renamed by Kano to Judo.. it was designed for spiritual and self being. To develop ones spit, awareness, role in the society and self-defense. Judo began changing when it got involved into the Olympics. Rules and many techniques changed to make it "safer". Before the rules, some leg locks, spine locks, all takedowns were legal. Most Judo can be used for self-defense but some don't know how because of the sport... sad.

  • That was nice

  • Mldc andreij !! sledushi raz chtob v finale pobedil ;)

  • Nice move, but it would be faster to attack the arm outside of the choke with an ude garami (without losing the triangle)

  • @UmDiaEuFicoBom// why dont you post a video to show us what u mean?

  • 2 seconds longer and the judoka in blue was out

  • I love your groundwork! Very nice fight and great sankaku strangle!

  • Nice one! :) i love newaza judo, too bad the refs often end it so (way too) soon.

  • that was awesome! the guy in blue had a really hard time trapped in a triangle choke for almost 50 seconds..... (well, from 0:55 it seems that the chike was really effective, to tap out on 1:15)

  • great triangle

but i think the ref took a bit too long to call the ippon..he had it pretty much locked in by 0:52

  • that triangle is amazing.

  • Awesome, getting the triangle and arranging himself to get the right angle on his opponent's neck.

  • i'm amazed they gave him so much time to set it up, if that had been flavio canto they would have blown the whistle as soon as the knot of the guy's belt touched the mat

  • whistle?

  • sorry, would've called matte

  • hard work always pays off

  • 25 more seconds of not breathing was too much for Blue to bear... tap, tap.

  • nice sankaku!

  • That's what you get for thinking turtling will save you!

    Awesome ippon.

  • awesome!
