  • Every single one of those are badass

  • what is the gearing you running what is the best to be on dunes ?

  • Thats why you dont do big jumps till the end of the day, or bring spare parts/ a spare truck

  • gutted for that guy and his wheel looks like a great day out

  • wen u do a jump its hell like holy shit please dont beak

  • hey i would like to kno do you have to tune these alot? thanks.

  • I never knew this was going down in my neck of the woods, I'm gonna have to get the old 5T ready.

  • Nice, I never knew this was going down in my neck of the woods, I'm gonna have to bring the old 5T out there.

  • I really enjoyed your vid but I also have some questions for you because I am in the market for a new car. Out of all those cars it looks like the 5b is the most popular car vs the 5t... did it look like the two would like to run with their own? Also do you think that there is an advantage or a disadvantage to having a 5b or 5t. Also do you think that there are less 5t 's because of price or ...?

  • @OOOGLING

Ok, the truck had only been available for a few months, That is why there wasn't as many in the video. When it comes to which one is better...They both have there ups and downs, I would say its just a preference on what you like. The truck is just plain sweet looking. I have had a buggy for a few years and have considered a truck but i cant bring myself to buy it. I like the buggy because its lighter, to me that means better performance. I like how mine rides wheelies everywhere.

  • All of us are on hpibajaforum com. You can find when and where the events are. Plus all the technical info you ever wanted to know.

  • @CKRworld will there be an event like this in 2011? And where is this spot at silver lake?

  • @dudemanrc

Yes, this is a annual event. Its located in the pedestrian area along exit road, You can't miss it. It gets bigger every year!

  • @CKRworld what pipes are most of those running?

  • ik this is probably a dumb question, but whats the diff between a nitro and a baja?

  • Size and fuel type is the biggest thing. Nitro's of course run on Nitromethane and are generally 1/10 scale or 1/8 scale. Baja's run on regular pump gas and are 1/5th scale. Baja's measure 32" long for the buggy and the truck is 35". I've heard of people getting 8-9 HP with them.

  • oh ok, so which is better?

  • I guess that would a matter of opinion, and where you live. I would say the baja. Yes, its bigger and more expensive. Its also much faster and has alot more power, mine was clocked at 44 MPH in the grass with stock gearing. Grass and sand don't even slow these down. If you could see a nitro and baja run side by side you would probably agree. Oh,the last i looked nitro fuel was about $25-$35 a gallon. Gas is only $2.50 a gallon here. The baja can run at least 30 mins or more on a single tank.

  • @CKRworld

too bad the 5th scalers break if you so much as look at them wrong...they're no fun when every wrong landing or impact tears something up.

  • Yeah Ill try to make it this year Ill bring my 1/16 e-revo vxl lol, what other times do you do it?

  • Sorry, I acccidentally removed your other comment, I ment to hit reply. The big event is usually at the end of june. Alot of times someone will just say there going and a bunch of other people will join in.

  • Well whenever you find out hit me up.

  • Verry nive video and location A+++

  • do u need paddle tires and how much of a difference do they make?

  • You don't need them, They do make a huge difference though. You would never be able to lift the front tires or throw huge roosts without them.

  • do you only need rear paddle tires or both rear and front?

  • if your going to run paddles it will handle alot better having the front sand tires also. I run the regular front tires and can't turn unless i'm off the throttle.

  • ok thank you. very helpful.

  • Silverlake dunes as in Michigan? Dunes?

    GOOD Vid

  • Thank you. Yes, It is just north of muskegon on lake michigan.

  • Do you ever see any nitro buggies or trucks out there?

Just curious how they go with paddles on im about 3 hrs from there.

  • Yes, We've seen several nitro's out there. They run ok in the sand but you cant compare them to baja. No comparison at all.

  • Thank you!!

  • Awesome!!
