The whole thing is sketchy as fuck. We need to give ourselves the opportunity not to be funneled into such a war machine. Converse with your community. Demand your municipalities switch to wind/solar energy. Buy and encourage local agriculture and business.

You are correct sadly most of America is too busy trying to pay of debt and make ends meet. So when they get "news" that blames their problems on anything they rally in that direction. To many of us react and are emotional creatures and not intellectual about informing ourselves. Public action will not take off in America like it does in Europe because we do not have independent news...

I was stationed in Germany in thew 80's and the news there was pretty good at shoving information up the Governments ass...even today you see the people in Europe out in the streets protesting everything....so I think it is a great deal better than the info we get here....granted that was 20 years back and things do change....

My experience of European news is there is better media awareness education, enforcement of monopoly laws, and the state funded media would never claim to be *a private corporation funded by the people, as PBS claims to be, the gov even gives subsidies to some less read papers, don't know if this helped, but the recent Argentinian media law is very interesting
