@mattmcrae88 Well compare Dookie, Nimrod, Kerplunk, and Imsoniac to their new album. 15 years ago they were a punk band. In my opinion, their new album was to "pop-y" if you know what i mean.
@rossdarocker39 - Its because they have grown up. They are adults now..... their not going to keep writting songs about love and girls and stuff. Green Day are smart with their lyrics, they tell a story and have a strong message. If people actualy took 5 seconds and understood the meaning of their more current songs..... they would understand they are punk. Yes they are note in the same style as their older stuff..... but the meaning and message hasnt changed.
