Vescera is a good vocalist but he doesn't fit with Loudness. He was only hired because Max Norman (producer of the American Loudness albums) hated Minoru Niihara and convinced Akira to fire him for the sake of the American contract. Three albums later, Loudness sounded like Ratt, the contract was canceled, Akira went to India, then rebooted Loudness with all new members. Max Norman is retired now; Minoru is back, and all is right with Loudness :)
@UncleSpooler Yeah i agree they shouldnt have tampered with the original singer. The original singers voice had identity and it was something new but their management never marketed them very well that was their problem. Thunder in the East was one of the best Heavy Metal albums ever compiled
@RayPluton I stand corrected .....i see now that he is about 6 inches taller than Russ how embarrassing i used to be on top of this 80's metal stuff.and the shirt is a KILLER GUITARS shirt which is what Akira is playing. i'm going to my room i am grounded for being silly.
Damn if all Japanese rock was like this I'd listen to it. These guys have that 80's Influence. I doubt J-Rock sound anything like this. I've said it before. Their just too emo-gothic for me. I prefer the heavy loud stuff, where at the same time they look like their havin a good time.
I have so, enough to know that it just seems like the emo-gothic side of what "Gothic Rock" is. I mean look how look it took those guys to appear. Plus you hear about German metal bands and American metal bands touring. But do you hear anyone talking about J-rock? No you don't. Its obvious to some music, that he sound of music matters more than a bands image.
@Wasp1984 So you're saying just because you don't hear about these guys touring that means they aren't good? They've released 23 albums, more than most famous American and European bands. Just because they don't tour America doesn't mean they're no good. Most Japanese bands only tour in Asia, as most American bands stay in North America and most European bands stay in Europe.
You're thinking about new generation bands. I'm talking about American bands like Dokken, Ratt, Wasp, Alice Cooper, etc. They've been everywhere. Not just America. I'm saying why just limit to one country? Its like this Grunge bands use to say Hair Metal bands were all about image. Its true that a lot of those bands had the big hair, spandex, etc. But their music was NOT the same. And not every 80's band wore spandex or had big hair either.
@Wasp1984 I get what you're saying now, it's just hard for a Japanese band to market themselves for America, because let's face it, most Americans are very closed-minded. As soon as they see these visual bands they all start calling them gay and stuff. If people were more mature and didn't hate everything that was different, maybe good Japanese bands could actually make it big somewhere other than Asia.
@Dyingbreed1990 And also, I just don't like bands that need to look a certain way to get the attention of people to listen to their music. Sure a lot of bands have done that, but American metal is crappy now. 80's Metal was a lot better than it is today. And Jrock bands have soo much shit on that to me it just distracts from the music. A band has to have a certain type of sound and attitude for me to consider them. Jrock just seems too..glam. Even more glam than 80s glam rock.
@Dyingbreed1990 One more thing and then I guess I'm done on the topic. Its not like I was literately bashing them. But to me, I would give any band a chance if they were able to convince me. Its like Pop music, I hate all pop music but some of it is okay like the song "Beat It". I can tolerate most female pop musicians but not the ones that try to sound too cutesy when they sing. And I think only American, Japanese, and Korean pop musicians are guilty of that. British Punk? BILLY FUCKIN IDOL!

"One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?"
Management trying to get a bigger piece of the American Pie, but as usual, the fans don't like the classic line up to be messed with.
