  • Would bicycle fenders be made this way too? They have rolled or folded beads on the edges. I had thought fenders were made between rollers, like rings are made!? Fascinating, real craftsmanship you do... and I bet there is some interesting math occasionally!

  • @Axbent Thanks for the nice words. You are right of course, in mass production fenders like these for cars, motorcyles and bicycles were and are made by rolling. For one offs this would not be feasable because of costs for the rolling machine and therefore we make them by hand.

  • Are they soft padded surfaces that you are hitting against?

  • @FiatGuy23 No, it's all steel. Soft dollies would not work for shrinking the metal. And that's happening when planishing the raffles. A soft surface would stretch.
