  • My Grandfather sat me down on his knee when i was 5 and said "listen to this man and his voice" im nearly 45 now and still love hearing it, thanks for posting.

  • so good and relaxing

  • This is one of my favorite Sinatra songs. The orchestration is sublime! And Frank sings it as if he was singing of his own experiences. Truly poetry set to music! There's no one like Frank!

  • It was a very good year for small town girls

    And soft summer nights

    We'd hide from the lights

    On the village green

    When I was seventeen.....>>

  • A great example of Frank's impeccable timing. So many of his songs have that quality. Amazing orchestration too.

  • If it is possible for a song to approach perfection, this song, by this man, does.

  • The arrangement by, as I recall, Gordon Jenkins, makes the song. Superb orchestration, poignant melodies, a true Meisterwerk comparable to Puccini.

  • when i was 17. ........

    greetz, superkaalspleetje.

  • Saw actual film footage once of the recording of this song. After he finished, he listened to it and decided to make it better. I can appreciate that in a man.

  • This is such an under rated record by the maestro.

  • Perfect pitch for a great song

  • The true "Anatomy of Melancholy"...

  • Sounds so good. His Columbia years were outstanding.
