  • @222056 Needs some ibuprofen, doesn't it?

  • sweet drum cover, motley crue sucks my asshole, though.

  • good drumming

  • Come on Cody, let's see some mental technical death metal beats. I know you aint really into that sort of thing but, would love to see you rock out some George Kolias beats or some shit like that...

  • Suggestion: Add huge drums to Beethoven's fifth or something like that. Also I like your last drum lesson where you talked about paradittles between the kick and hands.

  • I dig it

  • you are a rock star mate! i m 39 old man!this is good you love playing! do more of these and dont let TJ boss you lol!!xx

  • You really look like your having an amazing amount of fun.

  • Cody is the shit Motley Crue is gay though I must say, really nice kit though man.

  • glam rock =/= metal

  • Your best so far imo Cody

  • that was pretty sweet...this maybe an ironic proposal, but you should try an august burns red drum cover. they're a christian hardcore band, and im not even a believer, but they're so good, you'll appreciate the music for what it is...and well...they have the best drummer ever, matt greiner.

  • nice drom but do they have cowbels?

  • Sick cover man. Tight as.

  • I Love you

  • I thought this was very good, wish I could play the drums.

  • Hey Cody! Could you cover Scentless Apprentice by Nirvana?

  • JESUS FUCK

  • Do a Behemoth cover :D lol

    nice cover btw

  • Open handed drummers rejoice! I'm open-handed as well, sweet stuff dude. :D

  • Took me a while to realise what looked wrong about your playing and then I realised I'd never seen a left handed drummer actually play the drums. Nice work though :D

  • sweet cover man

  • Motley Crue is garbage but I still like you.

  • I just realized how this song is just a Mötley Crües lame attempt at sounding ''fresh''...(fresh in the 90's that is)

  • Finally not a pansy song. lol.

  • I looked at the back and forth between you and JustusGregorius.

    You must be a hipster.

Btw, I feel the same way.

    Btw, I use pitchfork.

    Btw, I know NMH.

Btw, you probably don't give two shits.

Nice drum playing my main man. Does not disappoint.

  • Ahh... Needed to listen to you bashing to Motley after a hard day of tests yesterday... Always the man Cody!

  • I would fucking love to jam with you.

  • @Zsmart i play rythym guitar and bass i would join you!

  • Are you left handed?

  • You seem more comfortable with straightforward time sigs, but I suggest you give an Opeth song a try :3

  • did your dad teach you to play this song cause you did say he taught you a lot and he was a hair metal drummer

  • Be a pal and do a Pantera cover for me?

  • Why can't I like this twice?

  • @macr0machine I was going to go watch your drum covers...but you don't have any, Mr. Armchair Critic.

  • @Saturninefilms Awesome drum cover, hope to see more in the future.

  • @Saturninefilms Fuck yeah!

  • @Saturninefilms Still, he's kinda got a point...

  • @macr0machine its a cover, hes just playing exactly what motely crue plays. Shouldnt you be asking that question to whoever the motely crue drummer is?

  • Awesome cover. Now, I dare you to try and cover Spirit Crusher by Death.

  • Awh man, its the '97 version.

I saw "Shout at the Deviil" and got all excited.

I saw "Shout at the Deviil" and got all excited.

  • You should play "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" by The Smashing Pumpkins.

  • You should just like not play tom fills.

  • @MacksumX what were so bad about his tom fills? I actually liked them a lot

  • @MacksumX I really liked the fills but I guess it's all really about opinion, though you really seem to just work at being a straight up dick with no backing for your statements. Speaking of which, isn't it sort of lame to criticize when you haven't got any drum covers up so that we can in turn see what sorta chops you've got going on behind the kit?

  • YES YES YES - BlogTV HQ Broadcasts: Devilsound

  • @Saturninefilms Why can't I watch this on my iPhone? I'm a sub and I'd really like to see it. Thanks.

  • You nailed dude, and you added a little bit extra flare in a few parts.Well Done!

  • Ah fucking sick.

  • the dude that hates metal playing motley crue...??????

  • @JustusGregorius I don't like metal as a whole, that doesn't mean that there aren't any good metal bands. That genre suffers the same fate as Dubstep. There are good dubstep songs, but the genre is littered with bullshit.

  • @Saturninefilms Doesn't every music genre suffer from that?

  • @JustusGregorius Not nearly as bad as Metal and Dubstep.

  • @Saturninefilms pop? rap? just plain old rock =p

  • @Saturninefilms I think the same for country as well. With the exception of Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan (can some of his stuff count as country?), I can't seem to find any country artist that appeals to me at all.

  • @ArmyOfWalrus I don't count Bob Dylan as Country, more like early alternative pop.

Otherwise I agree, there are no others than Johnny and Roger Allan Wade (He's just plain awesome)

  • @disasterpiece678 When it comes to Bob Dylan an other artists like him, the difference between folk and country begin to blur a little for me, which is probably why I typically don't categorize bands too much. Roger Allan Wade is alright, and I guess Willie Nelson is pretty good too. Modern country just sucks though.

  • @Saturninefilms You should listen to Opeth. Some of their stuff is metal, but a lot of their songs are amazing without the metal aspects, like their album Damnation.

  • @Saturninefilms I haven't heard much good metal or much dubstep at all, and the little dubstep i've heard has usually been good (or i have low standarts), recommend me some good metal and bad dubstep?

  • @Saturninefilms no im pretty sure indie and rap music suffer the same thing.

  • @MjXllcommando why the hell does he have to? he likes playing, he plays a lot, he has the money, there's your justification. Not everyone has to be Neil Pert to have a good drum kit

  • @Saturninefilms Not nearly as bad as Post-Grunge lol

  • @Saturninefilms atleast you like some good old punk ?

  • @Saturninefilms Metal has been around around longer than any other sub genre of rock. It's been around for 40 plus years now and only has grown in popularity since then. The genre itself contains well over 30 subgenres and there are bands from every continent. I mean there's thrash metal, death metal, black metal, nu metal, metalcore, viking metal, progressive metal, melodic metal, neo-classical metal, folk metal, symphonic metal, power metal, speed metal, need I say more?

  • @drumsistkrieg1349 Blues and psychedelic rock are older.

  • @jdenicholls It's still been going strong for 40 plus years. I don't really see how it could disappear anytime soon.

  • @JustusGregorius as a metal fan myself I have to agree with cody. It's really hard to find some truly original works of metal that stand out from any other bands. I only have a few bands that I actually like and only 2 are from this decade. Most of them are the original pioneers of metal and metal-sub genres such as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Helloween, and Gamma Ray. However I have one band from the 90s named Angra which is cool because they mix brazilian folk culture into their music.

  • @skwaag5233 Real hard to find genuine metal band?Lets take The Big 4, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Ozzy. Its pretty easy to find good original metal music. What I find most interesting about all of this is that the dude that openly disses metal(so does TJ BTW) plays a motley Crue song, by most metal fans viewed as MTV pop glam metal. I tend to disagree with this viewpoint yet it's interesting how a lot of people "hate" metal, except that one Metallica song, except Maiden or Ozzy.

  • @JustusGregorius Those are the original pioneers of metal. The new generation metal and alot of the old bands today are nothing but rehashes of stuff that have been done like 1293577103.89 times already. When I mean truly original I mean a band that does something that is rarely done in a genre. I don't care if you sound exactly like Iron Maiden. But if you do something that catches me by suprise and I've never heard before then I'll like them.

  • @skwaag5233 totally agree, most new metal bands use that screaming type of vocal that sounds like emo garbage, screaming vocals can be good but only if done correctly or accompanied by 'normal' singing.

  • @JustusGregorius Motley Crue aren't metal, they're soft rock.

  • @xXChromeBeastXx whatever you want buddy...

  • @JustusGregorius I'm just telling you, not harping on you.

  • Thats a guy that really likes the crue...\m/

  • It's so much more intense when you play it, probably cuz you have higher volumeon the drums then they do. Anyway I like this :)

  • what is pencil?

  • @FOXGEAR92 Please explain; the message I get is, "The content owner has not made this video available on mobile". Cody is the owner isn't he? IDK some weird shit is going on here at YouTube. TYT is now bleeping out curse words. Maybe YouTube has been taken over by freedom hating fascists?

  • this kicked an unbelievable amount of ass.

  • Not available on mobile! WTF Cody?!

  • @Apophiswillkillus Not his fault.

  • Well done! Wow, yeah this brings back memories from middle school. Hehheh. Granted I know very little about musical instruments, but those are some unusual-shaped drums, to me at least.

  • finally he covers some real music

  • holy shit, cody! you're fucking awesome! (:

  • FUCK YEAH

  • Great job, man!

  • Think some lessons would go a long way, no offense. Kind of holding the sticks in a weird way, giving you an odd, stiff grip. But still a good cover.

  • not a huge motley crue fan, but i really liked that. good job cody!

  • i like how cody really gets into it....by the way, does that dude sing in english? I can't understand shit.

  • I don't even like Motley Crue, but I liked this. You should cover The Golden Age of Grotesque, in my pompous opinion...

  • That was fantastic! You should cover Wipe Out - The Surfaris

  • fuck that was fun.

  • Awesome.

  • Still waiting to see if you'll cover Bleed by Meshuggah. :3

OH! I'll love you forever if you can cover this track. Look up 'Final Fantasy V - The Decisive Battle theme' here on youtube.

    Great job, by the way.

  • @BeingBadAtMaths I really hope he does cover bleed.

  • @BeingBadAtMaths I really hope he does cover bleed.

  • ...

  • Was it 97 or 98? You should ask TJ how many millions we spent just to comment. My website still only has 12 hits/day. Welcome to the club, though...
