A lot of soul records are underappreciated, and Charlie Rich is hard to categorize musically due to his diversity. Good song, good driving sax and bass, good backup vocals.

I wonder what would've happened if "When Something is Wrong..." would've been released instead, considering Colin Escott's words on "The Complete Hi Records." Great Song & floor Filler at Earlsheaton Youth Club Dewsbury. Strange thing in those if you weren't black you weren't soul. In the absence of practicaly any literature in those days, the guy sounded black, so he was black. No one new any difference until the advent of the internet many years later

Charlie Rich, always reminded me of how Elvis would have looked if he had not died in 1977. brilliant sound from Charlie, great friends with Elvis, and of course both started at the famous 'Sun records' in memphis
