  • Hey man i need serious help i have a acura mdx in black and i noticed i have dull edges on the hood after it rains and every time i detail it i have to buff it its annoying me. What do i do?

  • I switched from 3M to Presta, better system overall, and a much better shine and clean up.

  • Id have burnt the shit outta that with that high rpm... Lol

  • This guy doesnt fuk around, but I guess that what being a pro is all about, end result is kickass!!

  • you should always add water when your working that way.

  • yea..to make a fast video..DA and 1200...rip zip..i wish i had the cash to be able to use that much liquid sand by 3M at $60.00 a gallon. then polish it till all gone like meg's dual action. scary and expensive video... scary. when ya buy the product yourself...and do your own work at u'r own shop...this video would be labeled 'insane'.. $6.00 worth of compound to buff a corner...lol...o'well..

  • can you buff a car everytime you wash will that damage your paint or not?

  • @carwash1009 why the hell would you need to buff a car every time you wash it??? when you buff a car you're removing paint. The less you need to buff your car the better.

  • @friendlee2007 Everybody has an opinion stop hating, the end result looks good ! You didn't paint it so you don't know how much clear it has, he does that's why he didn't burn through. DA sander is much faster thats why he used it. And it might of been a bit much compound but you didn't pay for he did.

  • Use 1000 girt if there Scratch

  • good finish

  • @Reelfishhead

Man the end result is pretty great.

Well the sanding bit was a bit harsh to many viewers but i believe that you did a great job over there !

    THnx for the vid

  • 800 grit seems a bit too high?

  • you are using the wrong pad and etc... but i will admit that your way of getting the job done fast and good looking ...is quite impresive. specially when custumers want their car asap.

  • if sanding with da, please do it wet and with and interface pad, and try using a newer compounding pad not a black pad thats used after compounding

  • first off rubbing isnt that difficult (speaking to the thompson douche) unless ofcoarse its black, or any other dark tone, the color you see is not the tone im speaking of, and even then with a little attention to your paper grits and area size worked you should be alright. so dont listen to the thompson douche bag, he's a homo

  • Wow. All these years I've been doing this ass backward.....DA for removing paint and black foam pads with polishing glaze. What's next, 1500 for body filler?

  • This video gives false confidence to amateurs in the hopes that they will fuck up and have to bring it to a pro. It would be like a dentist doing DIY vids. When you fuck it will hurt so much you will go screaming to the closest pro you can find. Very unethical.

For this one he had miles of clear, probably very hard paint, and many hours of practice...

Kids, do NOT try this at home! Go slowly and conservatively, keep those RPMs low and polish numbers high....

  • This customer is going to be tickled pink, great work friend!

  • Great video, looks amazing considering it took only 5 min

  • don't use a black pad when you are trying to buff off your sanded area

  • He is using the 3m polishing pad. Why is everyone freaking out about him burning through the clear? He is not using a wool pad nor is 1800 RPM overkill.

  • the reason why he didn't burn was because it was only a foam pad, besides he used a lot of compound its almost impossible to burn it unless he kept it on there longer...

  • whats wrong with your method? Is there another video you suggest?

  • Sanding on a rounded surface with a power tool, buffing against the edge, seems like the revs were way too high, and a "little" bit of compound that he applied for about a square foot could be used to do half a hood..........

Not all was wrong though, 800 grit then 1200 grit is good, and taping off the edges was a good idea.

Im shocked you didnt burn through the paint the way you did it.... Must have lots of clear on there.

  • After reviewing my polishing method myself I realized that I don't know what i'm doing. This technique is not very good. Lookup another video!

  • @Reelfishhead im gonna have to agree with u. a lil too aggressive! couldnt do that more than once. you would b down to the metal!

  • good job but what is this ring on finger for ?

  • jewerly bro thats all. people like to wear jewerly.

  • OK bro , even during buffing car ?

  • How did you not burn through the paint

  • I have a 67' Mustang, I want to polish it and whatnot,(make it look all shiny and stuff) so what can I do?

  • thanks for the tips...awesome job

  • amamzing

  • Good video how many coats of clear are on the car?

  • i have a black car, will i have to worry about swirls?

  • yes even more noticeable on black, avoid car washes at all cost. Even touch-less ones as they use harsh chemicals.

  • I did not know that~! I've noticed that after been going to a car wash place, my hood started to show up some rusty spots.

  • Good Video Rick
