Totally agree with your comments, although I've not yet decided about buying the ES-Go pickup. I've heard some pretty poor comments about that. The guitar itself is amazing. So much so that I've just sold four of my other instruments and have kept just the Taylor and a Lag parlour --- wish I'd had this guitar when I was starting to play, it's just so damn sweet.
Great demo and all the best for the future. Thanks.
I looked at this video because I was searching for a travel guitar. But, I stumbled upon what seems to be a truly talented and heartwarming person... Plus a great review!!
I am glad that your are feeling better from your major surgery, and keep being an inspiration with your musical gift and kind demeanor.
@xDet3rmin4tionx Am thinking of doing that myself - was intonation still OK and did you have to adjust nut or saddle? I love the GS Mini - it's astonishing for its size and is just SO comfortable to play.
@AlanSturgess I put medium light strings on so the thicker strings are the same gauge as medium but the other three stings are the same as a pack of light gauge strings. Worked well and haven't adjusted anything.
@AlanSturgess Please do, I know what I'm talking about and I spoke to Taylor before doing so, it REALLY brings the guitar to life, to me it made it perfect as you get that extra playablity but a very very very slightly brighter tone which I felt the guitar could do with. I use Elixir Phosphor bronze medium lights. Use them on this guitar you WILL NOT be disappointed sir.
@xDet3rmin4tionx Strings now on order. I used Elixr Lights on the Faith Jumbo which I recently sold and I use Elixr electric medium lights on my PSR SE, so I'll make the switch on the Mini as soon as I need to change the medium strings that were fitted when I got it. Thanks for all your help.
@AlanSturgess You are very welcome, you wont regret it, I'm sitting with mine as I write this. If you want the best use the Phosphor Bronze I jjust think they make it sound pretty incredible. Its a fabulous and incredible guitar it really is. If you stick lights on the GS Mini I found it lost nearly all of its charactor Medium lights just improved it and made it come to life. Good luck.
Glad to see you back in the swing of things. Hope you are feeling fine, as you sound great as usual. I have learned a lot from your videos, and they always give me a lift. Thanks for taking the time to play. Stay well!
Greetings from Tulare, CA....I am glad to hear you are doing good after your surgery. You look good and that Taylor sounds good too. It's good to see you getting stronger....Keep up the great work my friend.....
mark- welcome back and you look very good. the new webcam is excellent and so is the new Taylor. I look forward to the video on the pickup installation and another lesson as soon as I can. You are the greatest. We both need to stop and go walk more often!
Good to see you going again. Enjoy your lessons over and over. The Taylor brand, large or small are inspirational as are you. Song from our generation says that there is more room in a broken heart. I am hoping yours is stronger every day.
good to hear and see you again, also glad your surgery went well, thanks for the review, I have big hands and this guitar didn't work for me, but it sounds great.
Stay healthy, leave the Carolina BarBQue alone for a while, lol.
Great to see you back, your postings are always a joy. Many thanks for all the hours you put in to share your knowledge and best wishes on the health front.
take care of yourself mark. love your videos. looks like a VERY cool guitar. i enjoy the smaller guitars as well and taylors make VERY nice guitars. =-)
Must be alot of tone deaf people, because Taylors have no sound. Even there top of the line guitars sound like crap, with no vol.

ES go pickup sounds like garbage, does not have a natural sound, is too quiet and is a big waste of money

Hi Mark,
I’m so sorry to hear you had some heart troubles… but it is good to see you back and looking well.
Always liked your videos and songs with your very helpful and laid back manner.
I’ve got a Suzuki, a Vaga and a Martin set of guitars, but I just cannot find a better sounding guitar than a Taylor…. good choice.
Looking forward to listening to anything you play on the Taylor.
Keep well and keep playing as you are an inspiration to millions.
It’s a big community out here.
