  • honestly., the less popular i am with the mainstream charismatic church goers i am.., the more happier i am. it wasn't until i broke away from those chains of judgement & frivolous righteousness that i finally experienced the true miracle of what it means to be alive.

by merely living in the truth of who i am & knowing that i am at peace with MY Loving God i now have an absolutely wonderful life. i have SO much LOVE in my life that it is downright ridiculous!

  • ooh! i just posted Living Dead... couldn't find it online. didn't even know anybody else posted MATW songs. love this album so much!

  • Have always loved this album but have to admit I'm quite sad they dramatically changed their sound after this :(

  • i was even there when they had their first band "I Witness." Randy loved being the rockstar & I NEVER EVER had to pay for a ticket or wait in line. The dude was born to hang on the words: "he's with me." front seat at every show too.

nevertheless. all connections with my fellow christians came to a sudden halt when the news was made public that i'm a happy, go lucky, miracle living, God loving, man dating, f a g.

    Oh well.

  • @gayajay I hear you brother yes we are not to popular with christians oh well.I like christian music but i dont hang around them they are too closed minded for my taste!

  • @gayajay Hey i was just curious have you ever attended an all gay christian church?Ive never been to one but they say everyone is so nice unlike the regular churches we are welcome there.I used to go to church myself but i couldnt sit and listen to all the antigay garbage and lies about us.

  • each item triggered a certain sample. the samples would change from song to song. Randy (who is an EXCEPTIONAL SELF TAUGHT DRUMMER) played the set. however, we were so excited to watch them live at Knotts Berry Farm for the first time. the show was almost a disaster because the trigger mics for all the sampled pieces kept going off from all the vibrations. it was the most insecure feeling. that's why for their next album "flowers in the rain" Roger (a genius) gave the band a facelift.

  • I know this for a fact because I knew both Randy & Roger Rose. grew in Irvine CA. i used to spend hours sitting in their home studio observing Roger as he would pluck, toot, bang, & clap anything he could find to ad to his BANK of sampled sounds. wall to wall racks of synths. for the first album "Mad at the World" they were more techno. but the live gigs were experimental with Randy banging on everything from aluminum pipes to a red mannequin head. at the center was an octopad.

  • the 80s set christian music off into the mainstream. much of this can be credited to the advancement of electronic music technology. MIDI had just invented which made it possible to take all the synth types of earlier generations & allow them to work together via Musical Instrument Digital Interface.

  • its like simple minds xD

  • I just got this at a Christian concert. It's a double with "Seasons of Love"

  • I see that you could not intelligently answer my question and had to escape on a one word technicality and a lame insult. Anyone and everyone who reads this knows my question to you is extremely valid and logical. Where as you're comment is extremely vague and inadequate. Why dont you man up and not be a coward for once in you're life and answer the question? By the way some of the books of the bible are considered some of the greatest literature ever written.

  • i think it's very interesting how christian rock banks needed to be derivative in the 80s. surely music is about being original?

  • @krashellmet

I think its very interesting that you think the 80s were the only time that christian bands were a "dirivative". They have been doing that since the 60s. So who are they a dirivative of? The Cure? Depeche mode? Surely they were totaly original as well, Right? MATW had some original charecteristics. If you have ever listened to they're early 90's music you would know that they evolved into quite a unique sound.

  • @wslydaniels

the word is "derivative" not "dirivative". based on that alone, i fail to see why i should comment further. maybe you would become more literate if you spent more time reading great literature and less time reading the bible.

  • @krashellmet

You are a cowardly, arrogant dolt!! But you're from south africa so I guess have to cut you some slack. By the way its rock "bands" not banks you whiney little animal.

  • went to school with roger. Great guy and great Christian!

  • Hey guys! I invite You all to know the band Spirit and The Bride in my videos. Its a great christian band too.

  • Wow! I have looked so hard for this..... finally!!!! Do you have the song MAD AT THE WORLD of this album! And if you have a further album.... the song is Flowers in the rain.

  • I´m gladed to help you, but the song Flowers in The Rain I don´t have.
