I know a girl from Durban who left in the mid 90's. The doc showed ppl speeding through red lights at night to avoid carjackings. But hell, maybe that's like any urban city. My bf said he did that in Austin, and had a gun pulled on him twice as a manager. Anyway, Prince Harry vacations there, so...it can't be too bad, right?

I would love to come to Cape Town. I was already making plans for a trip to South Africa, visiting Cape Town and Johannesburg, but to be honest I got a little undecided when I saw some video on YouTube about Johannesburg. It seems that is not really safe, expecially for a tourists.
@coms71 You would love South Africa! Johannesburg is a huge city, and not my favorite world tourist destination. Focus instead on Cape Town, the big game parks outside Johannesburg, the wine country around Cape Town, and the Garden Route. All will give you memories for a lifetime!

@rockerkiddevin Like he said you are legally allowed to start drinking from age 18, though from age 15 it is easy to get away with drinking because you can only get a license by the time your 18 also so no one worries too much about underage drinking because the youngsters are not driving around drunk or anything they just have parties at people's houses and hang out there all night
