Brother we are advised by the scholars to fully say..rather write "JazaakAllahu Khair"-May Allah reward you with good. Because the abbreviated version "jzk" or "jak" doesn't mean anything, it is not a complete dua.

Some of the Quran you can understand, but you are right you need tasfir also, to explain the meanings, why it was revealed, when it was revealed, etc. Unfortunately, the video makers were not able to squeeze that in! :)

I would reccomend Tasfir ibn Kathir, it is prob the best. Easy to understand i would say, very well explained. :)
