I think she's doing it because she no longer wants to be a Teen Icon. She wants to get down and dirty with who she actually is and stop faking it for a camera. I admit, I like Skye a lot.. But for someone her age and with her type of attitude towards things like music, It was bound to happen. Change happens, Its how artists grow and get better.

Yes, both Sever & the Skye we grew up watching on this youtube channel are a bit more amplified versions of her personality, but there was never any faking. At one point that was exactly what she wanted. And yes, she really did grow up from the Disney phase, she became a young woman in Sound Soldier, so this Sumo Cyco is an exciting new step for her.

Maybe it's because it shows more of her reality with what a "Rebel attitude" Is instead of sugarcoating it FOR her younger fans who are all grown up now and have the possibility of thinking, "Come on now, as Skye she wasn't rebelling against anything TOO bad" I have a feeling your right, She's just growing up with her fans. :)

Because as Skye she told us stories about herself, gave us make up tutorials and ..hopefully this is making sense. I feel as Skye she was able to get alot more open with us. But as Sever she isnt because bands are usually abit more distant because they are a group. Am I making sense? If not I'll try again/. I love both though so im happy for her!
