Starting in gear is not a minor accident, as the engine can start, then the autochoke will rev it... I have to say though, the review is pretty dull as you're just talking about styling stuff. I don't buy a car because of minor styling details.

@davidalanbates I already have one, the E version. I just stumbled in here :) You're not the first though, I've noticed most Malaysian car reviews tend to be similar. Yet you didn't even mention the centrally-mounted gauges, which are unusual, the short and stumpy front-end of the car (a styling issue which actually did put me off at first) and pretty much nothing about handling or how it compares to other cars? And the Forte seems heavy and sluggish.

@bing492 Haha cool, yes the white Forte is very nice :) And the "Kia" badge that u see on some Forte's is actually purcahsed and installed on their own. You can probably ask the Forte car clubs where to get it. Enjoy your coming ride, and don't forget to test drive before buying just to make sure that you really like it :)

@bing492 To answer ur question we must take into consideration that the Vios is a 1.5 & the Forte a 1.6. The Forte also has a more powerful engine which has a 124 PS output as compared to the Vios' 109PS. The Forte has more torque too. That said, the Forte may have slightly more fuel consumption, but its hard to say. I'd go for the Forte though cos it's cheaper, better specs and is a best selling KIA worldwide. The Vios only sells in South East Asia. That should tell u something. Do test both :)

this car looks like a piece of shyt inside n out against any other new car on the road..seriously. I rode a Vios taxi and that thing was so damn boring inside. No good looking center console.. nothing spectacular about it.

@AutoTVmy it performs really great! but as of now i cant use it fully with a high speed.. beacause i was told that the only speed limit for the 1st 1000 kilometer odo reading is 80km/h only.. this is for the break in.. that is why i cant use the car very fast.. but my odo is already at 500 that is why im excited to have it serviced for the 1st time at toyota.. c: but overall, the car performs very excellent! its seatbelt warning buzz is so cool.. i am always forced to have my seatbelt on..lol

hi...is there really a 1.5J VIOS...when will the 1.5J will be released in the market,all i know the new toyota vios has 3 specs right, the 1.3J, 1.3E and 1.5G....

to everyone who says that vios sucks...practicality wise,engine consumption,and the design,vios wins...yes honda city has its better design than vios,but look for the practicality wise,hona wins in terms of design only,but over all package,still vios wins.....

@stgrenade64 I'm pretty sure that there won't be a new Vios in the immediate future.(if not we would have heard about it by now) Anyway, once they do a facelift, normally its perhaps another year or 2 years before they launch a completely new car. And as you know, they do update the Vios quite rarely... I wouldn't bother waiting.

I don't as a matter of fact but I'm looking at buying a car and the Vios is on the shopping list - along with the Honda City and, less likely, the Proton Persona

@frogz6873 Ah I see. The Persona is actually an excellent car, in both value and drive quality. But since 70+k is your budget, don't forget to also test drive the Kia Forte. That's another excellent choice :)
