  • GOOD MUSIC:)

  • Who was the first....Stanley or Michael Jackon??..they have the same theme....

  • @ilovemickeyrourke MJ was the ORIGINAL and BEST version of this song. This was from the THRILLER album in '82, 3 years before this version came out.

  • I remember this video when BET's Donnie Simpson show use to showcase it a lot.

  • Even though Michael Jackson created this song, Stanley Jordan made it even better. :)

  • @Spriggangirl

    I agree with you!!..

  • @Spriggangirl I would'nt go that far sister, but i do dig the way stanley jordan did this. Eventhough this was already a jazzy jam by Mike, stanley put his own nice stamp on it.

  • Dick Fontaine, you're fired. The music was nice. The video sucked.

  • Got the vinyl recording of this song the old 33 Lp can't get enough of this song over the years, Stanley Jordan thank you so much.

  • The dancer is SHARI HEADLEY from "Coming to America" with Eddie Murphy.

    Not Victoria Dillard

  • I believe the girl is Victory Dillard... who went on to become an actress that starred in 'Deep Cover' with Laurence Fishburne and 'Ricochet' wtih Denzel Washington.

  • this song is a such classic

  • Pat Hartley was one of two reasons to watch the movie "Rainbow Bridge". The other reason was a live concert in Maui by Jimi Hendrix.

  • Always loved this video.

  • Your welcomed Pasy 2006 Stanley's a favorite of mine and I'am sure that he has others in his fan club

  • Wow this is great to see this video, They played this very song today in the IHFC building at the High Point Furniture Market. I only knew of this song from Michael Jackson, I had no idea of Stanley Jordan, what a master piece.

  • I saw Stanley Jordan for the first time while visiting Bangkok in oct 2010,not many thais know of him but it was a great one man concert especially playing the piano and G tar at the same time very interesting

  • I still wish that I had met Pat Hartley back then. I know she lives in New York and everything. It would have been nice. I wish I knew her better. i would love to write to her.

  • Good looking out DeTucciBill. I love this groove by Stanley Jordan. This is pure classic jazz.

  • DeTucciBill, what a treat! Thank you for this! I'm a huge Stanley Jordan fan but I had never seen this before - and I would never have if it weren't for you, bro! It went straight to my favorites! Luv'always!

  • Can anybody tell me what kind a guitar that is?

  • I was in a family band in the 80's and we played this song. Later I played it solo on the piano and it bugged the crap out of my dad because he had to listen to me play it 1000 times. Then this came out, and I played the piano along with this version. My dad was VERY impressed. I guess this will always remind me of that day I impressed my father.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I can remember seeing this on BET, believe it or not.

  • love love...grew up on this bcuz of my dad.

  • I was working as security guard on the over night shift and Cd101.9 expose to me to this track never forget they played it at 2:45am when I was getting into my shift

  • i lov this music...VERY COOOOOOOOLLLL.....THE JAZZ IS ALL!!!! CONGRATULATION FOR THE VIDEO DETUCCIBILL!!!!

  • Oh yeah, this is the song that made me want to hear more of this incredibly talented man, so I went out and bought the cd.

  • Good music;)

  • Dick Fontaine directed the video.

  • It has been years since I have heard this. I love jazz and have been looking for this for a while

  • Miss this video.

  • j'adore cette version, plus simple et directe, sans doute moins virtuose, et finalement plus musicale que les autres (celle de 89 et l'autre sur youtube). Merci Stanley, thank you for ever !!

  • hI Robert. I know we don't talk anymore but I've been really sick and I just wanted you to know that all the info is on my page. No one has ever sent me flowers and I was hoping that someone would see it. Wish me luck. Laura

  • Thanks, Laura. I will keep you in my prayers.

  • Thanks for sharing, I have never been an MJ fan but I love this song and of course Stanley is incredible as always.

  • genius recognize genius...respect to the Master musician Stanley Jordan RIP to the KING MJ

  • I spotted Pat Hartley, a friend of Jimi Hendrix, in this video.

  • Yes that's definitely Hartley. And she's still a fox!

  • She certainly is, man.

  • @jazmaan What movies did she appear in just curious?

  • I remember when this first came out. I was only eleven but I was thinking how this is such a wonderful rendition of the song.
