@XENON3120 Just thought I would say, I am pretty sure if the Slaking uses a move [Shadow Ball (Didn't do the same thing first turn because Hyper Beam didn't affect Gengar)] when he switches in next (since he switched out right after) his Slaking will be affected by the Truant ability in 3rd gen, so he couldn't attack! At least I believe that is why!

IMO, it'll be VERY interesting if you stuck with 3rd gen. I have to agree that there is plenty of B/W content on YouTube right now and the metagame is starting to get better, but this can be a learning experience for people that didn't play in the ADV days and/or want to get into it. Though I understand that people want to see the latest stuff(5th gen) from their favorite commentator, you should do what you enjoy!

3rd gen is where it's at!

Seeing the same 10 pokes, with the same boring movesets in 5th gen gets boring.

3rd gen though... different pokes make OU, and the movesets are wayyyy different since certain types are always physical and the others are always special.

It does have it's faults, like shadow ball dropping Sp.Def while being a physical attack, but it's still the shit.

@XENON3120 Generation 3 was actually my least favorite Generation out of the lot. Though, it was the Battle Island and the unbalanced and unrealistic amount of Battle Points it took. That made me dislike the Generation 3 game. I often felt like I was wasting my time trying to win Battle Points. Yet, that was the only way to get certain moves.

So, if you make lvl 100 pokes with the Pokemon maker when you don't have any badges yet, will they always listen to you, or do you have a chance they randomly fall asleep if you battle on WiFi? Because if they do, I should really play through Emerald first before trying this out.
