@holmesfamilyclan Never too late lol. Yeah Ashlyns never had bottles either besides when i would pump back when she was really young but she refused to drink from then ages ago lol! I change my mind about this all the time. I'd love to let her self wean but you never know how long that will take. Atm im playing my cards as they come. She seems to get distracted during the day & really only nurses in the morning & for naps/bedtime. She hasnt nursed while we've been out in a long time neither.
I may be late in posting this and I'm not sure if it will be helpful or not. My son is 10 months old and I'm going to start weaning him after 12 months. I plan on doing a gradual wean to whole cows milk. Right now he nurses 5x/day. Morning, morning nap, afternoon, evening and before bed. I plan On eliminating 1 nursing session/week with morning being 2nd to last and bedtime being last.
Wow! You've nursed your baby for 15mths? Thats awesome girlie~ good job!! I wouldnt be able to give you any advice on this subject, I hope someone else can tho! Good luck with that~ BTW, You kinda remind me of Angel from Holly's world. (The show) You're very pretty!!
I think it is SO awesome that you have nursed your precious girl so long, you are a wonderful momma...I think it is great that you are just taking it one day at a time and will see how you feel about continuing once you get to 18 months. I know some people may judge a woman who practices extending breastfeeding, thinking it strange to nurse a toddler but it is most common to do so in many, many parts of the world. They receive so many benefits from it at all ages, so I think you rock :) Awesome.
@DoveRussell I wouldnt even think about weaning her off until we reach that 18mnth point & my reasons for that is simply because i couldn't picture myself feeding a 2yr old. It seems weird to me..who knows, we might get to the 18mnth point and keep nursing....just have to see how we feel at that time.
Oh and he takes a sippy with water so I'll put the cow milk there. He never had bottles. Congrats momma on making it so far!

Just a question...why are you wanting to wean her? Just wondering what your reasons are since you didn't mention them...
