Lovely job there man. Danny Whitten wrote this? Great song. It was a hit in the 80's for a british pop act, can't remember the name of the group. Always liked it though..
I don't doubt youthere.I never liked Stewarts version. There is a a version from the 80's with a chick singing it which is the first version I heard. Always liked that.
Heyman, I wasn't aware of it either.. I got a few Crazy horse albums, but don't remember it..Marco hooked me up with this.. Rod just doesn't get this..
Thanks again Julie, You know how it is, when you got a bunch of songs in your head, they all start sounding the same. I was thinking of branching out into Nick Drake stuff. I have always liked him, He just has some crazy tunings. I would have to put a bunch of effort into it. You do him really well, Your own thing going on..
I alway's thought this was a Rod Stewert song, you learn something new every day, don't you ! ~ I don't know wether it's the Guitar, or your vocal's, Jeff, but i prefer this version ~ Geoff
Give me five Jeff......This version in incredibly good...If you have some doubt about Danny Whitten, He was the guitarist and singer of the first Crazy Horse and when He died was replaced by Sampedro..Maybe you make some confusion whit Bruce Berry, he was a Neil's roadie and both died of overdose and ispired Neil for tonight is the Night...Ciao
Hey Jeff ... this is one great cover man... everybody in the UK thinks this is a Rod Stewart song....they never heard the real version.....you are sounding better all the time my friend....keep on rocking mi amaigo
Thanks man, I don't know too much about him, I think he was a former roadie, or band mate that played with Neil at one point.. A great song.. I think He was cut short in this life..
Danny was the original guitarist with the Horse ... I believe that he and ralph played in sang acapella version of soul songs in their formative years,, but like a lot of people at that time he got seduced by the lure of the smack and eventually it killed him...I was always led to believe it was Danny that Neil wrote the needle and the damage done about....and you do it real justice ...you should get down to the local bar and play the shit outta this one tonight...cos tonights the night...Kev

Great job with this song! I can't say I was aware that Whitten wrote it. Was the song on the first Crazy Horse album? If so, I would have that.

Hi Jeff; I loved that very much. I always loved that song. You did it very good. Especially the harmonica part. Never mind the few sick notes :-)
Nice greetings from Anette

You like the sick notes? I had to play around them, making it more of a challenge.. Thanks Anette..
