it's your stationary point of view watching a 3 dimensional object pass by. Believe it or not, when you move an object whilst stationary, you will view it from different angles, however slight the angles or movement may be.
well...maybe its some regular physics ... when u hit object what is with out speed that object start moving..so maybe some asteroid hit moon and moon now rotating..
Well, the Moon does rotate. In fact, the Moon takes 27.3 days to turn once on its axis. But the Moon also takes 27.3 days to complete one orbit around the Earth. Because the Moon's rotation time is exactly the same amount of time it takes to complete an orbit, it always presents the same face to the Earth, and one face away.

Yeah you're totally right...it really sucks. Luckily I've been looking shit up for a decade now (im 24) so I've seen information get put on the net, taken off, covered up..seen their methods to cover things up..understood legitimacy of sites with claims..I've played this game for a while, and I believe the moons orbit is anomolous. It rotates a full clockwise motion like twice a day, thats something that didn't used to happen at all
@bestchoiceeverr You must be joking. Any person would see if Moon "rotated clockwise". That's nothing anyone could "cover up". If You really are serious, You probably believe that Moon should have the same "edge" closest to the horizon when it sets as when it raises. But of course that's not the case.
If I'm wrong about that, what makes you think Moon "rotates clockwise"?
@YDDES I wish I could be wrong in this matter, but I urge you to believe me because there is 100 percent proof here in my work office. A coworker of mine who uses my office at times brought up conversation about some moon pictures he had. I didn't expect much but the pictures he took were pretty high quality and showed a lot. In a matter of 4 hours you can very vividly see and understand the moon had literally turned to the right a little over 90 degrees. This is real man, no doubt about it.
@YDDES Let me clear it up...He had a camera set to follow the moon over the span of a couple hours. It did not take video, but every given amount of minutes would snap a picture. Comparing the first picture (lets hypothetically call it 6pm) with the last picture (about 10:30pm) and the difference is immediately noticed. Nobody wants to believe me yet, but that's not my problem..I take a lot of time before claiming something as fact and certainly wouldnt be wasting my time here lieing about it
@bestchoiceeverr Try to cut a little Moon out of paper, draw an arrow on it and move it in a path like the curve it seemingly describes in the sky, by holding it in your hand with a stretched arm, from "rise" to "set", so the arrow is always paralell to the path. You can see that the arrow will change it's angle to the ground despite Your Moon doesn't actually "spin" in it's "orbit". If You mentally take some "photos" along the path, they will show a Moon that seems to have turned. An illusion.
@YDDES I completely understand and it makes a lot of sense. Now the only question is, why does it turn more than one full clockwise rotation during the span of 24hrs?
@bestchoiceeverr Not sure what You mean with "it turn more than one full clockwise rotation during the span of 24hrs". You can't see Moon during 24hrs and it always has the same part, "Oceanus Procellarum" to the "front" in its trajectory, even if it seems like "Mare Crisium" is to the front, depending on that Earth rotates faster than Moon orbits. From Earths surface Moon seems to go from east to west, but actually it orbits Earth from west to east.
@bestchoiceeverr Hope You understood my former post. English is not my native language. Would be interesting to know what You'll find out and what You think about it.
Doesn't appear to be rotating, at all. It's not even a poor quality attempt, or even a crappy hoak. It's just complete garbage posted by someone with an obviously low-IQ.
How I created this video: Created a slow rotating sphere animation with a moon texture map using Bryce 3D. Then filmed the screen with a Sony Handi-Cam, a burning candle under the lens to simulate atmospheric turbulence, and added audio from an older capture of owl sounds, and a wind track as well. There you have it!
If you stood on the Moon, the stars would rise and set, just like they do on Earth, except that a lunar day is a month long, the same as the Moon's orbital period. The Moon rotates at just the right speed so that it always keeps one face pointed toward the Earth, which seems like a pretty big coincidence, doesn't it? Why the shadow cast on the moon appears to have change in recent months is stranger. No explanation I've seen yet holds water unless you consider that Earth's position has changed.
@TheUFOResearch I trust anything Cornell has to say on the topic a hell of a lot more than whatever crap you have to say, Professor Peabody. I'm surprised you had the brains to find where the statement came from since you so busy espousing how fucking brilliant you are every moment of every day on every topic. I don't give a shit about the moon one way or the other quite frankly.
@DinjenPolevaulter I think, based on a video i saw, that our moon either has volcanoes on it which have erupted or man is doing drilling there causing large pressure bursts of dust to shoot from the surface. I think this has caused an anomolous orbit of our moon starting recently
@YDDES Hmm the cornell site apparently isn't displaying the info anymore..Im sorry I cant be more direct but google 'moons anomolous orbit' and through this crap they have up on it now you will find the studies. Im sorry, i hope your efforts come up worth it.
@bestchoiceeverr OK, I might try. It's only worth something if it's REAL scientists, like from universities who have written something like that, because there are way too many idiots out here on the web, stating this or that...
maybe thry think if give the moon rotation it will give it may decent gravity, all they gotta do then is create an atmospere, and take some water over from earth, they wanna run a seriously long hose out into the stratospere to pump water into it, its part of the weather modding programme but what if they are planning to run the hose to take water to to the moon, what is more expensive flying spaceships of water out or running a hose and filling the ships up in space or lower orbit
OMFG!! Why are people so messed up in the head. Of course the moon rotates, it's just that it rotates at nearly the same speed it takes the Earth to rotate. You guys need to check up on the topic your video is about before posting it blind-folded. [Metaphor for those who are challenged]
This vid is simply a composite of images (or timelapse) showing lunar "libration" over a period of hours. We see a slightly different "face" of the moon over time. It's normal. this vid intended to fool people and jerk their chains.
@xxiproEBxx okay then tell me why its suddenly rotating???? is it because some big planet is heading this direction .."niburu" i heard on youtube that its going o be closest around october 15-18th of this year. during this time we may experience earthquake and who knows what.
@jsimon8585 No planet is heading this way since it would get caught in the sun spacetime net, the moon has already been at its closest this year and that was when the Japan earthquake was.... it happens since the moon has a affect on the earths tidal system
@kworld01 You not trusting the "mainstream" "News" anymore would imply that you considered it a trustworthy source at one time which wood imply that you were naively submitting to thought control.
