  • the sad part is, once you reach 9, you automatically win, since 12 numbers are covered. It is possible to pick 8 numbers and NOT win, although highly unlikely. However, it;s mathematically impossible to have 21 numbers covered and not have 5 in a row somewhere. Odd that they allow you to get 10 words correct and not 9. Once you get to 9 they should just have you pick the forst number and if it's the right one you get the $10,000? (i forget i havent watched the show in forever), otherwise $5000

  • damn hes a fuckin genius

  • Oh, now I see how this is a record lol. Had to watch to the end to find out the record XD

  • right after u pulled the 10 you should have kissed her man!

  • Shandi had a wonderful Belly.

  • Seems kind of wasteful to first get 10 words and then get the lingo with the first ball :P

Especcially since they couldn't have possible not get a lingo xD

  • ah the good days of lingo! Bill Engle's version probably won't be as good. i mean face it nobody is as good as Chuck on a gameshow (well OK maybe Pat Sajak)

  • @disneydanny2 After having seen it............ it's not. This new Lingo SUCKS.

  • @greenday61892 Not according to the ratings of that show and the ratings of the old Lingo.

  • @PIRATESOFTHEC3 .....elaborate.

  • @greenday61892 There's nothing to elaborate on. Merely look at the ratings of both shows. In fact while I prefer the new lingo, the first, ORIGINAL version, was by far more fun.

  • @PIRATESOFTHEC3 No i mean... I can't find the ratings, for some reason. But when you say original, do you mean 80s or Chuck Woolery? I LOVED the Chuck Woolery version, but I don't like how in this version they give them clues. It makes them waste time trying to think of what would fit the clue rather than just spouting out what comes to mind first. Add the fact that there's a limit of words per round and the fact that you can hand-pick the balls.... yeah I HATE this version.

  • There is no way I would have gotten close to 10. I'd be too busy checking out Shandi in her bikini!

  • Someone got laid that day..

  • That was pretty amazing. I love these word games, but Miss USA 2004 would be way too much of a distraction for me to bother winning.

  • @lobstertexas

Good job! Just one thing, though. This wasn't the first time this happened. In the 2003-2004 season, I remember that there was a team that scored 10 words in Bonus Lingo (but got to see the next two letters of the next word) and then pulled out the winning ball on the first try and they won $5,000 and a trip (which was the grand prize at the time). But still, very good gameplay throughout! Congratulations on the $10,000!

  • robert pwned on the bonus lingo, damn!!!!!!!!!

  • @schitaco k... let's see your clip where you were on the show kicking ass and breaking records.. :p

  • "I don't know if anyone had more than that, have they?" Idk Chuck, 10 seems to be the maximum.

  • Even if they instructed you to swish the balls around first, it seems to me that it was more of a suggestion since they didn't have you re-pull.

  • I think I've found where the time credit was put in; at 2:03 video time, or when the in-game clock says 0:30. The board glitches as Chuck repeats "D-U-C-K-S", it goes blank and the word is then typed.

  • @nowhammies10 Ah! That's definitely it..I never noticed that, and if you look at the other words, they don't have that half-second little blank like the DUCKS does, though, I guess what always tripped me up in trying to find it is, if you look at me n' Heather, you never see any weird jump cuts, it's all so fluid -- and during the DUCKS, I kinda bend my knees a little bit and straighten up again without any editing -- so I think the board and contestants must be two separate clips.. good catch!

  • Anyone notice at 1:30 he said "Quake, Q-A-K-E"? That should have been disallowed :P

  • @Tomsonic41 boo. he (me) said "U", I just spell fast.. tryin' to beat a record, here, bub! :p

  • @Tomsonic41He got the U in, he just did it quick, lol

  • Are you a Semite American?

  • @9262ABC yeidel deidel..

  • there's only so many five letter words... and they always give you the first one. If you spend enough time on it you can probably develop a pattern of guesses that guarantees you to get to the word no matter what it is based on the first letter. Not to mention the show generally sticks to words used in everyday context, so you won't see crazy scrabble words like "qanat" or "abaka" to name a couple. I've always personally wanted to develop a system like this and dominate but I don't have the time

  • even letting them have 10 is too many theres no way you can even put 8 on the board without getting 5 in a row the way they cover the board so 8 should be the max then they should pick one number if its not the right one, they win 5000 if it is they win the jackpot

  • dude this guy is beast the girl literally said nothing the whole game i dont think

  • Karma for the Delta flight.

  • care to join in heather?

  • can you believe his luck?

  • what'd u buy with the money?

  • 19 total guesses in 1:46, impressive.......

  • for the second one i would have guess pussy

  • This game show is a family show, although one girl did guess the word penis once.

  • doesn't get better than that. everything just clicked.

  • LINGO system has been officially pwned by you good sir

  • 10 is ur VERY lucky number!

    CONGRATS!

  • a 10 for ten grand

  • All in 1 ball out of 10.

    William

  • Chuck at 2:38 : "I don't know if anybody's made more than that. Has anybody?"

I don't think so. The closest I can think of were Mark Walberg and Marc Summers in 2003, who got nine.

  • I think the ten word limit was always there, just that nobody ever reached it before you and Heather.

  • great job dude :)

  • looks much better than the dutch lingo show...

  • i understand they used the Dutch Lingo set to tape the first season of the US Lingo -- but I've seen clips of the Dutch version, I don't know if I could handle those crazy 7 letter words.. but I did learn from watching the Dutch version that the Dutch use "ij" as a single letter :)

  • Nice job, I am impressed, man. They should put this in the record books.

  • Wow. Epic win...

  • wow, you do the work, she gets the money O_O

  • ya, well, i couldn't have gotten on the show without her, so it was only fair I was happy to split it wit' 'er...

  • this is pro

  • Wóóówh, you are dámn impressive. What did you do with the money?

  • wow, after that kind of performance the least that chick can do is give that man head after the show is over.

  • i feel bad for her. she didn't get to say anything! but good for you robert.

  • I dont think she cared that she didnt get to say anything. 5k richer.

  • Dude's a machine. I was impressed.

  • perfect game

  • beast

  • When it's your day, it's your day...great job!

  • The funny part is that I don't think GSN understands that just 8 pulls is a guaranteed win. The 10 word max could easily be dropped to an 8 word max with no effect on the outcome.

  • righto.. which is why they should have had a climbing pay scale based on how many words you solved... then the dumb ball-draw part could just be used as a multiplier or something to augment the win :D .. the filling-in-of-the-bingo-card is so anticlimactic and boring to watch, an end game should really be a lot more exciting.. oh well, next time!

  • It's interesting that you bring up the idea of a multiplier. I remember thinking when I saw the show for the very first time that they should increase your winnings based on how many Lingos you can get in the final round with all of your draws.

That would clearly reward people for doing as well as you did.

  • That was great! You broke the bank! Also, you got 10 words with 15 seconds to spare!

P.S. Even with the 10 ball limit. No matter what, he would of won with the board he got.

  • wollery's toolness has increased exponentially in the past decade

    look it up

  • damn lucky number 10

  • Good job, Heather? :o

  • "w00tzor25": I guess Heather paid attention to strategies of other past shows....

If your partner's on a run in Bonus Lingo..... let them go.

  • thank you :D .. that was by design.. I needed a partner in the LA area to get on the show with -- she's never heard of the show while I was armed with my system I've worked on since I was 12 years old -- I asked her if it was cool that I went nuts on the board and she was totally cool with it.. :D

  • Comment removed

  • that was NOT supposed to be a ?

    :^)

  • that's YOU?

    Wow, you're a genius!

    I LOVE that show?

What did you and Heather do with the money?

  • I'm watching the other episode you appeared in... the online champs vs. TV champs episode, just as I'm typing this comment!

  • wow!!!!!!!! impressive!!!!!!! what do u do for a living?? where did u get those crazy skills?

  • uberzine dot c o m slash lingo :D

(youtube seems to not allow posting links)(?)

  • I just read your story on your website, I tried to leave a comment but there was a servor error. Great story anyway!

  • Great job man, I think it's ridiculous that the limit is 10, but clearly all you needed was one.

    Congrats!

  • 10 in a row is incredible. How much time did he have left?

  • can't you see the lil' clock in the corner? :p

Twelve seconds (although during taping they thought it was 0:07 but they edited out a moment where they misspelled a word, I guess giving us a 5 second credit)

  • Congradulations! But it's still "Small Potatoes" compared to the Record $41,000 Amy and Laura took home from that Game Show.

  • that is true, but they only solved five words :p .. During the season we were on they didn't have the progressive jackpot yet...

  • Actually, Amy and Laura did six(But who's counting?). Still, they hold the Record. When did you come on? Also, Amy did represent Lingo, in the Game Show, "Grand Slam".

Seriously, when did you come on, and how far before they started "The Progressive Jackpot" were you on Lingo?

  • well, they hold the MONEY/luck record -- not the word-solving/skill record :p

game shows can have many records, ask any TPiR fan :D .. And yes, I saw all of the Grand Slam.. I have been told by ER I would be considered if there ever is a next time ;)

GS was looking at cash winnings when they were vetting contestants, which -- while I'm sure Ms. Kelley is a fine person -- anyone can reach their hand into a bowl and fish out a lucky number.. Hell, even I did it .. albeit one season too early :p

  • Kudos, to you, Robert. That must have been your Day that Day on Lingo. I bet if you had a Progressive jack pot that Night of, per say, $50,000, you definately would have taken that home.

The way you dominated that Bonus Round, I bet that you would have done better on Grand Slam than Amy did(Not taking anything away from Amy), but you took that Bonus Round like a Prodical Genious.

Your Partnet, Heather, did not even get One Breath in throughout the Round.

  • Lingo freak! I mean that in a good way.

  • I saw this episode!! My buddy and I were freaking out and said that you totally deserved to win!!! You're my f-ing hero

  • geez, give Heather a turn...

    lol jk.

    good job man.

  • gah that host

Would stick it in her pooper

  • i watched this episode yesterday

  • Hey Rob,

I found your website 2 days ago or so and posted on it that they were re-showing Hawaii week on GSN. You were on again last night. Fame strikes again. You played a great game. Don't forget to eat your PASTY ;)

  • why would a really smart guy bring a moron on a show like this with him

  • Cos she was damn hot? That works for me!

  • That performance will be very hard to achieve ever again on lingo. He completely PWNED the show.

  • Great job! ^^ youve been on quite a few shows, right? Real nice tho!

  • Nice to see Heather is helpful.

  • Yeah. I know. I was kidding around. When someone is on fire, you let them keep going! This guy was on fire. He won the game so that's all that matters. If she had spoken up it might have slowed them down.

  • Nice job, man!

  • Is 10 still your lucky number?

  • Only allowed 10 correct answers in the bonus game, and 10 is what you pulled out, and 10 times 1,000 equals 10,000 dollars. I say that 10 is the number of the year.

  • hey man are you Ken Jennings? you did well. how about you join GRAND SLAM gameshow?

  • Shandi has an inny belly button i didnt know that

  • maybe he didnt ceat unless a #10 ball in the ting when no one was looking then pull it out, he never did sake around the balls, or it could be a coincidence

  • guys -- it's a one in thirteen chance to pull the freaking ten ball -- it's not really that coincidental and rare.. And um.. when you're on the set of a game show, there's never a moment when "no one is looking" :p do you really believe the contestant can be left alone with the ball hopper? wtf, people :p

  • It seemed like you cheated on the drawing of the ten xD. But uh, yeah, I was like, ":O"

  • hah, i had a 1:13 chance of drawing the winning number -- it's not like that's so impossible that "cheating" must be implored. Trust me, kids, many harder feats on game shows have been done than this :p

  • Not only did he get 10 words, but he drew the correct ball! It has to be cheating..

  • uh.. cheating? how the hell do you cheat at reaching into a bowl full of numbered balls without looking while on camera? it was a 1:13 shot and I was just lucky to have drawn the right ball, you're a dope :p

  • awesome! i love that show

  • Dude you were sick! I have never seen anyone play as well as you did! By the way I think I heard Heather start to spell one word, but then you spelled quake and never let her get a word in. But hey whatever.

  • haha :D .. that was by design.. i had asked her if it was cool that i just ran with the bonus round myself since i've practiced for this moment for over a decade, and she was a virtual newcomer to the game. hey, it's a free $5000 just for standin there and lookin purrty.. not a bad deal :D

  • You know they had it in for you by putting in AFFIX. That's a sick word for this game. Nice work and congrats.

(shoot, this guy even got Shandi in a bathing suit and hula skirt... perfect game...)

  • its not haxing. some people are actually that good with words.

  • wow. that is CRAZY.

  • BUSTED.

  • hax.

  • holy shit i think he looked but he did not

  • naw, i didn't :p .. you can clearly see i'm squinting upwards -- but nonetheless they have a little spandex-type black tarp thing you have to stick your hand through, so "looking" is impossible :D

  • u rock my sox!

  • Come on dude, you didn't mix up the balls like you had to, you just put your hand in ;) I saw another show where she tries to keep track of the ball on top but lost it.

  • Wow. This guy is a quick thinker. I laughed about the girl just standing there

  • O.O hax!

  • i seen someone won $41,000 on GSN. You know i laughed when someone spelled PENIS on bonus round..

  • Holy shit!

    That was insanity.

I wish I had this luck.

    My god.

  • lucky son of a bitch.

  • LORD THANK 10 WOW!

  • Heather was there only for eye candy purposes.

  • That is absolutely insane.

  • aww Robert is a cutie. Amazing job. (I can't stand that Shandi!)

  • is this possible????

  • like the set the look the round the show the way Chuck and shandi look ect

  • holy...

  • HACKS

  • Q and a K? Of course it's QUAKE! Bonus letters SAVED you on AFFIX.

    Good one.

  • Ya, I was truly stumped on Affix .. I could NOT think of what the hell five letter word starts with A-F-F .. turns out AFFIX is the only one! :p tricky bastadz

  • Episode airing on GSN as I type this

  • If the late great voice of baseball Mel Allen were hosting this he'd say "HOW 'BOUT THAT?"

10 words in the round--I guess that's their limit

Needed a 10 for the Jackpot

    Jackpot--$10,000!

Guess it's true what they say about things coming in 3's!

  • Didn't they used to cover 12 numbers in Bonus LINGO?

  • Damn!!

  • I love shandi. look how lovely she is on this show. chuck in shorts and sandals. wow what a good combination. thanks for the video.

  • I guess You can say they "hang Ten" )rimshot!

  • 10 was definately their lucky number. Great job!

  • That really was the most impressive playing that game has ever seen. Great job!

  • chuck called him william heh (2:34)

  • naw, he says "Really, I mean.. that was unbelievable".. I dinna hear a William :[]

  • he said "yea really eh"

  • DAMN INCREDIBLE! i hope to see you two in the tournament of champs!

  • Hi Lobster, Thanks for posting. I really enjoyed watching this episode. That was a VERY excellent win!!
