  • Really nice pics.... so pretty.

  • soooo pretty

  • i like this!!!

  • I like the fact that you wore your hair. It doesn't just look like you were trying on styles like shoes or a shirt to see if it fit...You really owned the hair styles.

  • You are strikingly beautiful! Your hair compliments you perfectly!

  • love the hair. And realy like those brows

  • I absolutley love your hair. I finally got tired of being a slave to relaxers and started to go natural in April 2010. It has been a struggle but watching your video just motivated me. Thanx!

  • you're so pretty!

  • gREAT VID! I know i'm late on your channel but I love it. What kind of music is this?! :)

  • I must say this music is on point. Your hair looks fabulous. I love the way your natural hair compliments your face. You have stunning features. GREAT video! I love it.

  • 1:45..your "failed" attempt...is the MOST GORGEOUS!!! Gave me goose bumps. LOLOL

  • Great video! You are so creative with your styling. The pics @ 0:41, 1:34, and 1:45 are fierce!

  • aaww ur so pretty. i love ur hairstyles. keep up the good work, girl.

  • this is the best vid I've seen and I go on utube daily to check out natural styles. You make me proud to be natural, I wish my hair was as thick as yours, i've tried the styles but they don't have the same effect because my hair is really thin, time will make the difference. Take care!

  • Workin the "realness"". Love it!!

  • @grocerygurus :) Thanks! It's the only way to be.

  • @sheenalyoung Very nice, I luvd them all !

  • One of the best pictorial collages on natural hair I have seen so far! Thanks Sweetie!

  • @iDomeanica Thank you. That's so sweet! This was the first "video" I made on my computer and I really had no idea what i was doing.

  • your skin is beautiful! what do you use?

  • @neetrixx I make my own skin care products. I have two videos on it where I actually make them and use them. The mask in the video I only tried once, my go to mask is a oatmeal, honey, yogurt one. I'm currently concoctions some new recipes to try since I've been using this one for a year. Time for a change.

  • You are very beautiful and I love your hair!!!

  • @tashamont Thank you. There are so many sweet people on youtube. I appreciate it.

  • You by far have the best hairstyles...I will attempt some of your styles but I'm sure Im not going to get the same results

  • @brownstar722 Seriously? The best hairstyles? Wow. Thanks. Try the twist and twist out in different sizes. You may not get the same results, but still you'll get something interesting. Experiment!

  • Your styles were beautiful!

  • @ArailyusW Thanks! Majority were just variations of a twist out. I wish I knew how to braid. Then I'd have double the styles!

  • Loved your vid and had to sub!

  • @brownshuga24 WELCOME. I hope you enjoy the other videos too!

  • so glad i saw this video...beautiful styles.

  • @cantsingalick thank you! so many sweet people on youtube!

  • That is a great video!! I loved it!!

  • @deltadiva35 glad you enjoyed it.

  • don't you just love freedom! freedom from perms, flat irons, and heat in general!! your hair is really cute. the color makes such a difference with natural hair. i might go with a temporary red just to see what mine will do. what is your job? i saw you mention the u2 tour and i saw you in a pic with a lot of wires around.

  • @goodjudygirlfriend I do LOVE the freedom. Flat irons, heat, perms...all that extra stuff. Life without it is simpler, organic, cheaper and lots more. I need to learn how to naturally color my hair. My hair dries out when I color it so I haven't done it in awhile. During the day I work in the financial industry. I was at a U2 concert for fun through my job and it was AMAZING! I also work as a stage manager during the evenings. That's the pic with the wires.

  • @sheenalyoung I have finally found staple products and can get them in bulk sizes so that will save me $ for days! I wish I did know more about natural hair color. I have seen some in a health food store but I was too nervous to try them. The color makes mine dry too. Im sporting my natural color now. That's cool you got to see U2 thru your job. Stage managing seems pretty cool too. Thank you for answering my questions. I appreciate it. Also I love using the bentonite clay too. Love it!!!

  • @sheenalyoung use kool aid to change hair color safely

  • @happy6075 Kool aid? Ummm...how safe is that?

  • @3:19 BEAUTIFUL GIRL!!!!

  • @Complex4u25 thank you!

  • i love your style. You inspire me to keep my hair natural.

  • @toastieee1 As I've come to learn how my hair works, I realize I don't have anymore bad hair days. Find quick styles, funky styles, and styles that last a few days. Keep it simply, keep it moisturized and one the crappy days..you'll realize, its not that bad! Plus i love the volume and flexibility in natural hair!

  • I really dig ur hair.

  • @sleemorris Thank you!

  • did you hav to cut your hair after the dreads or did you do it for style

  • @NtrlBlackLezboBeauty I cut the locs off after a year I believe. I was working on show that involved dirt for 5 months and couldn't get the dirt out. So just cut all my hair off.

  • awesome hair styles!!! beautiful hair....

  • @afrocentric2 Thank you. I appreciate it!

  • Your hair is so thick. Im looking for ways to thicken up my hair. Any tips?

  • @Domoneicqua I don't think I've ever done anything to make my hair thick. Its just always been this way. Even when my hair was relaxed, the thickness was a bit much for me. I don't know if there are ways to thicken your hair or not.

  • Wow I love ur styles n ur hair hair looks like so much fun. Finally at a length I can start expierimenting with mine too.

  • @kimsincharge have fun experimenting. I have had fun trying different styles in my hair. Now I'm lazy and more into protective styles but occassionally I let it all hang out.

  • OMG this is the best I've seen on natural hairstyles thus far and I've been searching for 2months now. I'm transitioning and I'll BC in June of '10. Your styles are so neat and you wear them so dainty and well. I got a lot of ideas...thanks

  • @chyna7702 Well, whatever length your hair will be at by the time you BC, know that there are a variety of styles you can try. I can't wait to see your styles.

  • Beautiful girl very photogenic!

  • @earthlycolorbrown Thank you!

  • Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MsRosaMaria25 They are all pretty simple styles. I hope you try them out as well!

  • Your hair is very beautiful!! and i also wanna say u have some of the biggest most beautiful eyes i have ever seen! this vid is now a fav !

  • @Ar3y1 Wow thank you. Such nice compliments. I appreciate it!

  • Just one word: Fabulous!!!!

  • @prayupblessings When I pulled my "Britney" and cut my locks off, it felt so good. The moment I looked in the mirror with out having styled it or washed it, I was like, "What the hell? I look crazy. What did I do?" Then I washed it and conditioned it and my head felt to light and good. I really like short hair styles much better than any length. Thanks for the compliments. I enjoy positive people.

  • @prayupblessings THANK YOU!

  • Your styles are fantastic! You are simply beautiful with your natural tresses! I love all the different looks and I especially love the two tone color combo on your hair. You've inspired me to do my 2nd BC. I have sisterlocs now almost to my shoulders that I've had for 3 yrs, but I'm ready for a change. Peace and much love. Thanks for the vids.

  • your hair looks beautiful, very inspiring i'm currently transitioning and afraid to chop. You are giving me courage.

  • Why are you afraid to chop? Also thanks for the compliments. I hope that you are able to see that at any length, there are beautiful styles. And if you know how to braid, that doubles the styles available. And if you have patience to part and style, that gives you even more possibilities. I have little patience and can only twist, and with that the possibilities are still endless.

  • What products do you use on your two strand twist and twist outs. They are very shiny.

  • for most of styles you see in this video I used either olive oil or a three part mixture of olive oil, grapeseed oil, and ...some other one I can't remember. Now I have a mixture of various essential oils, rosewater, vegetable glycerin, leave in conditioner, and water that I spray when needed. I also will just apply olive oil from time to time. My hair responds best to that.

  • girl you- wearin som bad styles, these pictures are collectable

  • Thank you. I appreciate the encouraging words.

  • You are too fierce! Love the various hairstyles. Very encouraging!

  • Thanks for the compliment. No matter what length, what color, what texture your hair can look fly. We just have to embrace ourselves.

  • you r soooo REGAL! This video is inspiring for ALL stages of natural hair growth... soon as i was like "dang! its gna take me like a year to get that style" you bust out wit a TWA coil set look thats BEAUTIFUL! thx for this vid <3

  • Your hair can look amazing at ANY stage. My favorite styles are the coil sets and two strand twist on really really short hair.

  • Damn got style for days girl !!! This is going on my favorites list got try all these when i gets more haior!!

  • Most of the styles are variations of two strand twist and the twist outs. Just different sizes, parts and pin ups. If I knew how to braid my hair, I'd have double the styles. Try them on yourself and take pictures.

  • U r so pretty! Hair is fab.

  • thank you!

  • love the video- What did you do to achieve the look at .22? I love that hair style. Also, what is your hair type?

  • .22 is a twist out on four month old hair after my 2nd big chop. They were small twist and that's probably my favorite length. I'm not one who subscribes to the philosophy of hair typing so I don't know. My hair is curly. Its thick. Tightly coiled. Not sure how else to describe it.

  • oh okay...Yeah, I have no idea what mine is either..I just know mine is thick and I don't have a definite curl pattern. That style is too cute though. Thanks for the reply... :)

  • Yess you are beautiful and I love all the styles..my question is what are you using on your skin? your complexion is so smooth and even..I would kill for a even complexion and not need makeup..Thanks

  • The skin. I think one thing is that I don't wear makeup. And perhaps if I did, I'd probably only wear organic makeup. Putting those chemicals on your skin everyday is no good. To keep the even complexion took YEARS. First find the right brand or make facial care products that will work. I've tried dozens! When you know what works, wash your face every day, use toner and moisturize. Once a week do that plus exfoliate and wear a mask. Right now, I'm using homemade concoctions.

  • Any recomended moisturizers for dry skin?..instead of dark spots, I get light spots and havnt been able to find something specifically for that...Please do tell about the "homemade concoctions" I have been told about coconut oil and its many uses...any input on that? I think im gonna do my homework on some Motherland natural beautiful skin regimens they use...Thair skin seems to be flawless and have a natural glow...I want that! ..lol

  • I am going to do a video on my face regime because a couple people have asked. I will do it tonight and post it. Look out for it!

  • I have videos up of my skin care regime. Hope it helps.

  • Oh..one more thing..in the pic with the teeeny teeny 2strands..which I completly love..natural singles that I can grow out? Thats gonna be great..so my question is what to use on the hair to make it hold form and not shrink up as soon asi let go of it? are u usin flaxseed gel? I keep hearin people talk about that when it comes to frizz but whats gonna stretch the hair or give it weight?

  • So the teeny ones were done on half permed and half natural hair. I had just taken micro braids out and twisted each one right after the extension came out. At that time, I didn't put anything in my hair to make it stay like that. My hair is kinky in that sense that I don't have to put anything on it for weeks as a time and its just fine.

twist your hair when its dry and that will help keep the shrinkage down. I do not use any form of gel. I don't like that. to be continued...

  • ...most recently, when i did 2strand twist, instead of applying stuff on my entire head in general, on each twist before I did it, I applied a homemade concocted spray as well as shea butter promade. (i think that's it.) And it stretched my hair and kept it straight and in line. In will be on a video coming up of my latest natural hair styles.

  • Your "failed attempt at a braid-out" turned out fierce girl!!! Be blessed.

  • Thanks! I appreciate it!

  • you are sooooo beautiful. love you hair any tips for me?

  • hair tips? keep it simple. in the very beginning all i put was an oil mixture in my hair of olive oil, grapeseed and something else and that's probably when my hair was the most healthiest! Low manipulation. I never combed it out. I never blow dry or flat iron. Never owned a brush. Keep it simple.

  • Very Pretty :)

  • thank you

  • I LOVE YUR HAIR STYLES!!!

  • thanks

  • this song is hot what is it

  • its a mix of a whole bunch of random sound effects that my computer had. i believe the music belongs to apple.

  • Okay so you have mastered two strand twists and twist outs in my eyes! beautiful!

  • Thanks! Although from watching some other videos I've learned that there are different methods now. I never knew that. I thought you just started twisting your hair and that's it. But different methods have names and stuff and the variety is just crazy to me...in a good way.

  • These are great pictures! You're so stylish! You should be a model...are you?? I'll be putting together a natural hair calendar and will be looking for natural hair looks. Keep me posted--let me know if you're interested in being featured. Happy Holidays!!

  • Lol, I'm not a model. Too short for that. Although I supposed I could be a hair model. :) I'd love to be featured. Tell me when and where. And as said before keep your videos coming. They are my favorite. And thanks for the compliment because a couple of the pictures are from some of my "bad hair days." :)

  • Very nice styles. Love the twists. And the music really calmed me on my not so good hair day. Keep it up girl you've got a new Sub.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Love all the styles. You wear them well :)

  • Thank you!

  • I've just subscribed after having just discovered your videos...your hair is absolutely gorgeous!

  • Thanks so much LifeInTheSunshine! I appreciate it!

  • lovely, just lovely

  • Thank you, Maichai13!

  • Your hair is FAB... I love it.

  • Thanks you!

  • Love the video! Did you post it on the site? The variety of styles from simple two strand twists is amazing!

  • I didn't post it to the site but I did post it on the Fan group on facebook. I'll add it! Thanks!

  • i love the picture at 2:46

    you just look so amazing

  • Thanks! It's a recent picture from a holiday party! I tried something new with my hair and just went with it! Dress is from Forever 21 about $20. Necklace is from Nordstrom's Rack.

  • you got me wanting to put two stand twist in my head tomorrow

  • That was my go-to style for pretty much the first five years of me being natural. With two strand twist I was able to come up with dozens and dozens of styles. Its only been recently that I've started trying other things too. Two strand twist go a long way. Do It!!! Thanks for commenting!
