I'm thinking of going to Full Sail for game development,but what did you do for housing? If you don't mind me asking...So they just give you a macbookbro once you get there? lol
@LeoPreponderance Housing is all on your own. But I HIGHLY suggest moving anywhere but Goldenrod or Semoran. To drive a bit longer is better than getting your stuff stolen. Preferably somewhere near UCF or half way and yes, on your orientation day you get handed a macbook pro.

@7jga777 Honestly, Alot of people blow up Full Sail. From what I have experienced and I only have 1 more month to go and have worked on some professional shoots. Full Sail teaches you the best technical stuff to go out into the industry and have an upper hand in production. But most of all, it is what you do with your time. Most kids here sit around and expect to get handed a job. Full Sail can get u in the door, you just have to take the initiative to walk through it.

@TheAsianAppleGod Yes they do give everyone in Full Sail an Macbook Pro with all the software for your degree program regardless of your GPA. Needless to say, Full Sail is a private university and is geared towards making profits. So everyone can get in with the right financial aid.

@productCarbon Hey, All I have to say is its your dream and your life. I will agree with your dad as ALOT of students here are very immature and it seems to be like another high school here. BUT if you can handle the pressure and never settle for less than to know what team work is and KNOW that being in a team is your key to success. I would say go for it. I went to another university for 2 years and was unhappy with my decisions, then I came to Full Sail. It was the best decision of my life.

@GoHiper yea, the school is pretty cool with giving you technology to do what your career needs. for the bigger stuff, you learn all the on hands stuff in classes or sound stages. Video editing is great on the laptops, of course its no Mac Pro with 12 cores. But it does get the job done. I used Final Cut and video preview is good, but if u are hardcore editor I suggest using the mini display port and an external monitor. thanks!

@merhawi567 awesome, I can't tell you much about what kind of courses but I can tell you Full Sail will do a good job of preparing you for your future. The amount of knowledge you learn in a short amount of time is incredible. Unfortunately there is no job placement after grad, but only you are in charge of your future. So make the best of it!

I have an upcoming update video on being here for 4 months now. What Degree Program are you looking in to?
@tr1tan Yea, Full Sail is pretty updated on their hardware and software. But it might be delayed a couple months after apple releases it since Full Sail orders new computers every month

@NinjaSato That's a good deal. That laptop itself is worth 2,300 retail; FCP is 999, Adobe Master Collection is $999 for the ACADEMIC license (over 2,000 for the regular), and so on. They give you a good discount. I wonder how they make that money back. Must be in the tuition. LOL.

wow, very nice! I am hoping to attend Full Sail! It is so cool that they give you that and all that software! I am sure that is why it costs so much to go there for film.

I got ?'s about alot of stuff is it any way we can talk off computer so i can make sure that i will be good to go down there cause now they what me to start earlier at my 3rd so i need someone to tell me every thing i need to know from a student standard

Overall the institute charges $2,960 for the laptop, all the software, and a 3 year apple care plan.

@NinjaSato That's a good deal. That laptop itself is worth 2,300 retail; FCP is 999, Adobe Master Collection is $999 for the ACADEMIC license (over 2,000 for the regular), and so on. They give you a good discount. I wonder how they make that money back. Must be in the tuition. LOL.
